Flying with Flair for the first time this Sat, how strict are they with personal bags?

Hey folks. I am flying from Toronto to Calgary (F8625) this Saturday and I have never flown with Flair before. I've read a few threads and it seems the common theme is that they are very strict with their carry on/checked bag sizes.

My carry on bag is within their stated range online but for my personal item, I have a couple concerns.

Dimensions:
Flair: 15 × 33 × 43 cm / 6 × 13 × 17 in
Backpack 18 × 28 × 51 cm / 7 × 11 × 20 in

It's about 3" too tall. However, I only plan to have my laptop in it and charging cord. It's also a nylon bag so it just collapses super easily and has always fit under any seat. It's not bulky by any means.

Would Flair not allow this just because it's too tall?

I know this all sounds silly of me to worry about but just don't want the hassle on Saturday.

TIA.

My GSP jumps at people out of excitement, any suggestions on how to stop this?

Hey all!

I have a 1 year old GSP and she's the sweetest thing ever. She's been such a great pup but the only issue I have is the jumping when she's greeting people.

I feel like I've tried everything. I've tried the method of ignoring and giving absolutely no eye contact until she settles, I've tried turning my back. You can tell she's trying hard but it's like she can't contain her excitement. She chills for a few mins and then gets right back into it.

What have you guys done to stop your GSP from jumping on people?

New to bikejoring - equipment questions

Hey all! Excuse my total ignorance lol

I have a 1 year old GSP who I want to start bikejoring with. The breeder is really into it and I've taken a lot of interest in it. I know my dog would absolutely LOVE the sport. Firstly, is it too early?

I asked my breeder a few questions and he recommended this S/Line Bike Attachment, is this good to start with?

I also have a hybrid bike (Cannondale h300) but will need to get a bike that is more suitable for the sport because my bike is just not built for trails or rugged terrain. It leans more toward a road bike if anything.

Any recommendations on bikes or does it truly matter? I do plan to budget for a decent one overall. I think I will likely keep this recreational and won't compete, but who knows.

Any other assistance is welcome on harnesses and whatever else i'd need! The problem with my GSP is that she has very short fur and she's even more sensitive by her underarms so some harnesses will irritate her.

Any training tips welcome as well!

TIA.
