$1000 for xpanel?

Hello,

Just recently we upgraded one room with new TSW-1070 TP added p300 for hybrid meeting room.

Room still has existing dmps cp3 processor with rest of Crestron equipment.

New touch panel didn’t last that long and died. We are waiting for replacement as it’s still under warranty. -I was hoping I can use xpanel from crestron config files as workaround.

I'm not an AV integrator, but I am an end user collaborating with AV contractors. When I inquired about the xpanel from the AV contractor, I found that I can load it, but it doesn't respond to the button presses. The TV properly switches and responds when I toggle between AirMedia, the in-room PC, or the wall plate HDMI.

Now, they are telling me that setting up the xpanel will incur an additional charge of $1000.

Using physical TP all button responds properly, but from xpanel only certain button works. -I am using same file which is on CP3 and connected to same network.

My question is:

- Do I need to create a new configuration file solely for the xpanel setup?

The files they provided me work with the xpanel, but not every button press functions correctly.

I have the IP address of the processor, the touch panel, the IPID, and the port is set to 41794—all devices are configured with static IPs.

I understand that you can default to loading the xpanel. I’m a bit puzzled by this extra charge they're asking me to pay.

Looking for some option for training room setup.

We just completed room which acts like training room. Room is completely empty at moment with no AV equipment.

We are hoping to get room setup with atleast fixed solution with following.

Any options available at moment where AV equipment can be setup with almost no programming required. I know there is qsys roomsuite available, but I don’t know if it can be used for training room setup? -Qsys room suite says you can only use 1 ceiling Mic, but we need atleast 2.

We need atleast x2 Shure or senhiser ceiling Mics as tables needs to be free.

X2 dual 85+” displays
X2 Shure or senhiser Mics
ceiling speakers (6-8)
X1 In-room PC with option for BYOD
Hybdrid meeting as we are MS Teams Room
Touch panel UI with MS teams room so it’s easier for users.
1 camera for presenter tracking with option for rough in for secondary camera for overview room.

We are looking for solution as much as possible for networked solution with hoping to have as much as 0 programming requirements.

We are not looking for anything premium or expensive as most of meeting will be held inperson with some content sharing.

I do like we idea or qsys roomsuite or Crestron CollabOS solution, but is there anything we else out there which can stand against these two vendors?

Not sure if going with crestron collabOS if you can add multiple ceiling speakers with 2 ceiling Mics? Or do you still require a processor and AMP?

Crest. TS-1070 TP died and it's not even month into production

installed ts 1070 TP in training room and it's not even a month and panel is not powering on anymore. -we use this to power on/off, route AV DEVICES, etc..

Tried resetting network cable, tried directly connecting to switch and no light or power

without this we can't even use the boardroom and screens are blank.

There is dmps-350-k switcher to AV ROUTING/swiching.

Anyway to get this panel to power on or is it a dead?

How long will take to get replacement if it deemed dead.

We still have out old touch panel, but not sure of I can use this as temp swap or it won't recognize it. Old TP is smaller and different model.

RANE4 Amp failed. Anyone o can get one or similar?

We have RANE4 MA4 digital amplifier which no longer powering on and most likely failed. Tried different outlets and even changing power cables.

Is there any site I can get replacement unit with same model or something similar?

We only use 2 channel

Hoping something price reasonable as crestron/Qsc and LEA are bit expensive

Lenovo Tiny PC and convert to UC Engine like crestron or Logitech UI?

We have training room with corporate Lenovo Tiny PC on full kiosk mode with autologin using MTR license. -Only team’s app is installed.

The room is working fine but we don’t have money at moment to upgrade to crestron Full flex UC Engine kit.

Right now they either join or send meeting to PC and join using keyboard/mouse.

The room does have crestron 1070 panel but it’s there for basic input/outputs and audio routing.

Is there not anyway to take this PC and have setup like how Crestron/Logitech have it setup on windows platform?

We do have few crestron touch panel like 1070 as well but not sure if there way to have MTR UI added with corp. PC? Or have current touch panel and have this as primary UI and second page for AV control.

Remove 3rd party switch to Cisco corporate?

We have Training room with 4 Shure ceiling Mics, 3 large TVs, qsys-Nano, Shure wireless MxWani4 with Mics, crestron dmps switcher vadio AV bridge, and 24 Port TP-Link switch.

TP Link is 3rd party switch, and I wanna switch it to corporate Cisco 9300+ switch.

Anyone what requirement to make this switch change? I can take all MAC# and IP, and assign same ones to Cisco switch.

Vlans will setup ahead of time with proper multicasting.

Not sure if switch change over is simpler or will it break by doing swap?

QSC NC Series Cameras into Core with no encoders

Just wanted to confirm if this is correct. I take it if you add QSC NC Series cameras <networked> being managed through the QSCCore using the USB bridging option for Zoom meetings.

does this mean that i dont need encoder going into camera as core can take the input from either camera and output to display and have controlled through the USB bridging into core?

example:

QSC NC-Series cameras x3 (Networked> --> switch
QSC Core24F or 110f <Networked> with USB bridge for Zoom Room

Encoders are only applied to input devices like PCs and decoders to Displays.

Questions?
i take it with this setup, I Can route any camera to any display right from the QSC touch panel?

I take it it works fine with either using Visionary Encoders/Decoders or use QSC Encoders/Decoders

I can control the Zoom room directly from the qsc touch panel, i believe there is some integration between qsc and zoomRoom instead of using iPads to run Zoom Controller.

has anyone completed qsc camera setup with no encoders.

Nginx-reverse proxy - first time setup

I am working other teams in IT to come with proof of concept to implement Nginx-reverseProxy setup.

Current setup:
- we have external vendor who is posting some JSON/XML data directly to IoT devices using https method.
- IoT devices has internal CA certificate which I upload when it expires and webUI I visit is through https://IP:3000

-this could issue since cert. expires more sooner in coming years.

Proof of concept:
- instead of posting to IoT devices directly, we are thinking of posting data(json,#s) directly to NGINX-ReversProxy and then have nginx send same data to internal IP to IoT devices instead.

I take this is possible with NGINX and then I don’t have any make any changes the way IOT devices are setup.

Current workflow is working and I’m hoping not to change much from IoT devices configuration.

We are upgrading our room to support more hybrid meetings, and currently have an older, smaller Crestron touchscreen. We’ve decided to add a newer Crestron 1070 TP touchscreen.

What is the average cost these days to transfer the existing programming and user interface from the old touchscreen to the new one, with some minor changes? Initially, we planned to keep the existing UI as it is, but now we want to redesign it using a simpler UI concept from another room. We have another room which we would like to take GUI UI to this room.

Is a budget of $1,000 sufficient for this work?

Note: We already have the GUI interface and programming ready to be integrated into the new room. So integrator doesn’t have to come up new design, all GUI files, images will be provided, they will make changes based on what’s inside the room.

https://www.qsys.com/alliances-partnerships/logitech/

I was looking at the link above and does anyone know Qsys Cameras with this setup can do Auto Tracking? like follow the presenter, and other camera can track the audience by picking up thier voice?

- with MS Teams hybrid setup, can it do group framing? similar to how logitech does its group vs presenter framing?

- Can it be setup with multiple Shure Ceiling Mics instead of Sennheiser?

- instead of 2 large displays, can it connect to NEC Projector instead?

the room would be more Training Room with divisible partition to make it combined vs single mode.

- can we add x2 front wall speakers next to the projection screen?

its kind like Training room with divisble partition, and add projector instead of 2 large displays.

With many AV manufacturer now coming up with their own techs for large training rooms like Qsc, Logitech AI + Qsc, Crestron 1Beyond, switches, BYOD, Shure has their own large training ro options. Shure also has its own solutions for large training rooms.

We have an empty space that will be transformed into a training room, which can be merged into a single area using a divider.

What is the simplest way to set this up these days?

Here are some requirements we have:

- A laser projector with 10-17k lumens

- 2-3 Shure ceiling microphones

- Networked speakers installed in the ceiling

- Compatibility with MS Teams Rooms

- BYOD support with USB-C and one AirMedia device as a backup.

-Wall plate HDMI for content sharing only.

- One touch panel

- Shure wireless handheld microphones for Q/A sessions—either lavalier or handheld

- Two front wall speakers positioned side by side.

We prefer a solution that maximizes AVoIP capabilities and includes AI-ready cameras that track the presenter.

How do Crestron and Logitech/QSC compare in terms of integration flexibility?

We mainly are creatron focused and Logitech for small/mediuk sized, but not much when it comes to large training rooms.

I see Qsc website they have Logitech integration, but how flexible is this?

We have outdated autonomic mirage mms-2a media server which holds music and radio stations through and it stopped working.

It won’t let me update firmware and unable to stream any FM stations.

Connected using RCA TO RCA to biamp Nevia dsp/crown AMP to outdoor speakers.

Its managed through Crestron RMC/TS770 UI

I wanted to see what option I can get to replace outdated hardware to get maybe like all in once appliance kit which can make it more digital through network stream.

Does Crestron offer simple solution to have less hardware, play local/radio music channels through multiple radio channels through FM/spotify/siriusXM options?

I still prefer the hardware to provide me list of options to choose from to add subscriptions for Music streaming.

It’s crestron NAX solution any good?

Or is there another solution?

I would still prefer to use the touch panel to control music.
