The Lurch

Used new to me ‘14 Accord S - 110,000 mi - last CVT service: 92,000 mi.

Symptoms: lurching, pulling, delay at low speeds, after decelerating. Rubber band like/ uncertain gear.

Notes:
- I’ve never owned CVT car before.
- it’s not un-drivable, but occurs mostly when “taxing” or slowing down after highway.
- Once had delayed acceleration when I accelerated hard.
- Oil change tech once checked and said my fluid was dirty (could have been trying to upsell)
- Independent mechanic drove car and did not notice anything (had not mentioned it to him)

Questions:
- Should I get my transmission serviced/flushed then see? (It’s about 10,000 mi before Honda’s rec.)
- How common is this?
- Should I consider new spark plugs?

Maintenance Minder Light

- recently purchased 2014 accord sport with 108,000 mi.
- dealership said car had recently been checked and was all good.
- most recent oil change: 9 months ago
- maintenance minder light comes on, oil life at 15%
- take to jiffy lube, they look at dipstick and oil color and suggest I DONT get oil change and instead reset the system and continue

Thoughts? How concerned should I be? Is it weird to need an oil change 1 week after getting a dealership used car? Is it weird jiffy lube seemed convinced I DIDNT need them? (They cited oil color and dipstick level)

I will likely get the oil change anyways soon but want the communities thoughts since I am paranoid and it’s a new (to me) vehicle.
