Best place to get quality ground meat in jackson, ridgeland area

Hello,

Any recommendations for where to get quality ground beef that will actually taste good in this area? I thought about fresh market but am not sure.

Also thought about Costco but I am not sure their organic ground beef was the best tasting.

I meal prep and I find as i improve the taste of the meals i am more likely to eat them and not eat out. Lately my burgers have been horrible. I have made good burgers in the past but now they don't taste that great. Someone pointed out the beef is lower quality. I previously got beef from walmart, kroger, and aldi.

I also thought about Wilson's meat market, but really prefer somewhere else.

Vendor relationship management advice

I'm the main accountant for a local organization. We recently had a payment delayed because our authorized check signers were unavailable, and one vendor temporarily stopped deliveries until payment was received. Last year we had issues with the same vendor due to payment application errors on their side. They stopped deliveries back then. This recent incident is the first time it has happened due to a delayed payment on our side. I provided the check number and deliveries resumed.

But I'm interested in learning best practices for rebuilding and maintaining a strong vendor relationship after situations like this. How would you approach it?

I am aware I should have informed this vendor of the delay beforehand. I did make a short list of important vendors to notify but i forgot to include them.

I pay up to 80 vendors per month and I do the glut of the accounting so I just don't have time to call 80 different companies.

How do you know when you have done enough? How to know you are not lazy?

I commute 112 miles round trip daily. I usually worked about 37 to 38.5 hours if I came in later from my commute or left earlier to go ahead and get home. I have been sick off and on and during those weeks hours dipped some. Recently I got a second job about 6 minutes from home work sunday thru Thursday 5 to 10pm.

Getting used to the new schedule has been hard for me. And I have been getting into my day job super late due to being tired from day before. I am fixing that on week 2 of the second job.

But all of this to say I never feel like I work hard enough or have a good work ethic. When I used to tell my relative I was tired feom the commute for my day job he would say I shouldn't be tired and people do it all the time and doing accounting is not hard work.

I feel people might think from the outside I am impressive for driving so far but the truth is I don't handle it well I feel.

Just like with college. I worked full time and went to school full time. I got the degree but I graduated with a b minus. I set a goal in high-school to graduate in a year but it took me a year and 8 months and I graduated at 16 and a half instead of earlier.

I never feel I have done enough. Or that I am someone anyone would be proud to know.

I feel like i am lazy because I just barely meet the standards.

Some people work full time and graduate with 3 and 4.0s.

I have been late to work at my day job but again. I know some people can get and still show up on time. Some people are never late and never take a day off. How do you figure out when you are not putting in enough effort?

I am sorry for the scattered thoughts. I am typing fast because I have to get to my next job. Waiting on clothes to dry right now.

Edited for grammar

Question about selling at local markets and popups?

Hi everyone,

I live in mississippi and have actually began applying to jobs in columbus. I also sew handmade clothing (mainly skirts, expanding into other items). I’m trying to get a realistic sense of the local vendor scene before I plan anything.

I keep the Sabbath (Friday night–Saturday night), so I’m curious about Sunday and weekday events.

A few questions:

- Are there regular vendor markets or pop-ups on Sundays or weekdays?

- Do those events tend to get good foot traffic?

- How supportive is the area of handmade/vintage businesses compared to traditional retail (malls/stores)?

I’m coming from Mississippi. Here most vendor events I’ve found are either farmers markets or Saturday-focused, so I’m trying to understand how Columbus compares.

Thanks in advance everyone!

Edit: Note that I am not asking for names of specific events. Just like if in general there are a lot on those days. I am combining this with Google research of course.

Please put remit check to addresses on invoices

Hello,

I don't know how many of you are not doing this. It is a small thing. But if your software allows it please put the remit to address on your invoices. This helps clients pay you promptly and send the check to the right place. Otherwise if they are cutting checks on a day you're not in the office, you may not get paid until the next payment run.

Some businesses still send paper checks. Especially small government entities and businesses.

Just a peeve of mine. Thank you.

Signed an accountant somewhere with collections experience.

Hello.

I live in rural mississippi. My family is not well off. My dad has been having mental health struggles and I think biking would help him.

He has expressed interest in doing it.

We do not have the money for a $300usd bike right now.

He told me not to buy a used bike.

I really want to get him one. Is it possible to find a good used bike or is he right in saying I shouldn't buy a used one?

Also is there a reliable place to maybe put a bike on layaway or something?

I know i can google these things. And I have done a quick search but it seems most online have the money for expensive bikes. There does not seem to be advice on biking for lower income people.

My dad needs an outlet of some kind and he needs it quickly. He is in year 2 of a new small business and took to drinking some to cope with stress, I think. I am trying to step in here as his oldest daughter, and channel him into a better outlet.

Hope this doesn't come off as trauma dumping. I was really trying to explain why I wanted to do this rather than wait until i have a better job.
