Sidewalk repairs, possible to contest?

City sent us a letter with an estimate for sidewalk repairs and panels with a white dot supposedly need to be replaced. But the panels they marked have no cracks, no visible deterioration, aren't unlevel--they look pretty much perfect. There is a place on the form letter for the city to list what the relevant defects are and it's just blank.

Any chance of contesting whether they genuinely need to be replaced or should I not bother? Estimate is for over $1500 and I get that we are responsible for the sidewalk as homeowners but this appears so unnecessary.

TFCC OR ECU?

I'm having pain in my right wrist that I suspect is from knitting. On Saturday I was fighting with a project that led to me intensely gripping and aggressively twisting my wrist awkwardly for a couple hours nonstop and then shortly after I had this awful pain in my wrist. At the time it was a little swollen and I iced it, no swelling since.

It's quite painful to the touch on the red spot but also a little sore on the blue spots. It doesn't hurt to push up on my palm but it does hurt to bend my hand forward, rotate it, or bend side to side. I tried putting a brace on to prevent all those actions but the pressure it puts on the red spot is too painful/intolerable.

Aside from taking a break from knitting and certainly opening tight jars, what else can I do? Anyway to stabilize it without pressure on the painful spot?

Brightest Tee

Pattern: Brightest Tee by Lily Kate France

Yarn: Araucania Years Aquarella

I modified the pattern to add hip shaping and to change the sleeves to be a little more fitted. Overall I am really happy with how this came out! I've never really made any warm weather knits and I think I'll get a lot of wear out of this.

6 years in, my favorite things about working remote

No obligation to attend events outside of work like happy hours.

No awkwardness at the holidays where some people bring gifts for others and some don't.

No having to police what my direct reports wear.

No birthday celebrations and crappy grocery store cake that I would definitely eat anyway.

No stressing because the plumber/electrician/delivery guy came WAY outside the two hour window they gave you.

The list never ends but these are tops for me. What are yours?

Got my order, but also someone else's--best way to notify the shopper?

So like the title says I got my order and it's all correct. But I also got a whole extra bag with someone else's order. I feel really bad for the shopper. It was obviously an accident. I don't have the option to message them now that the order is complete. What's the best way to communicate that? I don't want to get them in trouble.
