Little spiders in my garden. Who are they? Will they eat my red spider mites?

Little spiders in my garden. Who are they? Will they eat my red spider mites?

I noticed that there are actually some real spiders in my garden now. And I'm going to leave them be, because I have a bit of a whitefly problem. Hopefully I can convince the spiders to stay by moving the infested plants nearby and giving them a good rustle every once in a while. I have already seen them catching at least one whitefly, so even if they don't eat the red mites on my beans and herbs, it will be worth it to keep them.

Somewhat new plant, root bound with some sort of film

When I potted this critter up into a much larger pot with so much more soil, I noticed that the root ball seemed to be stuck to some kind of film that had the physical feel of styrofoam but half the thickness of newspaper. It had a rubbery crunch like styrofoam when you'd press on it, but seemed to only be where the roots touched the plastic of the pot. Sweet Williams, I believe. I didn't really do much because I was afraid it'd damage the root system. The film might be the roots themselves(?) the soil was exposed where the drainage holes of the pot were. Should I go back and dig it back up and massage the roots a bit or is it fine as it is? And what in the world is this film?

Pretty, translucent, creeping plant

Hello again everyone. I've posted pictures here that have this guy in them, but I haven't made a post about it specifically. There's this weed ish plant in my former cucumber pot (I let the soil test for a few months in between plants) that is very pretty and has a very watery, translucent stem. It seems to creep very low to the soil, but I haven't seen any stolons yet. It reminds me of the begonia, with how flexible and watery the stem seems to be. Can you guys help me identify it, and also let me know if it's invasive or otherwise concerning? I don't know where it came from because I don't see it around my house at all, and it didn't sneak in with any of the plants I've bought. At this point, the guy is maybe three or four months old, I think it still hasn't flowered even once. Picture one is the top and picture two is what the bottom looks like when I lift it. Very dense foliage. Despite being so visibly liquidy, it tolerates being left dry.

Strange cucurbit I didn't plant

Who is this guy, growing amongst my stefanotis? I think it's a cucumber based on the spines and yellow leaves and tendril behavior, but it has these segmented leaves (picture 1, 3 and 4) like a watermelon, almost. It has a hairy vine (4 and 5), and the fruits are currently very tiny and have a long snout (2 and 5), but a couple of them are pointing to the sky (2 and 5). This was not an intentional planting. Who is this guy and how did it get here? Birds, maybe? Update: it came from the other side of the fence. I can't remove it from over there. But none of it is left on my side anymore :)

Caterpillars

They are in my Brussels sprouts. Very small guys. But they are growing! I did see a butterfly in my bozu earlier this month or last so I'm hoping they're more of those. This is kinda what I planted the Brussels sprouts for. Hopefully the mynah birds don't see them. They're getting a little rotund. Do you think that droplet with green balls in it is caterpillar poop? Anyway, I'm looking forward to a few Brussels sprouts to harvest if these guys are polite and do not eat the terminal buds.like I know they're yummy for the critters but a girl can hope.

What is this thorny plant with a flower Spike like an amaranth, in my cosmos pot? Also there is another plant in there too that I would like help identifying.

Hey everybody. I have been planting flowers since this past winter and in a few of the pots there are a few new plants that I don't actually know. I grow almost everything from seed, so it's even more strange to me. Anyway, a few of these plants have very small flowers and I'd like to figure out what they are. I'm concerned they might be weedy. I will see if I can add multiple pictures in an edit. Reddit does not seem to like me today. Edited to add: four other photos
