what they promised in the patch notes:

what we actually got:

the bots having amnesia: you can drop a plot twist or establish a whole setting and three swipes later the bot forgets everything. or the character starts off good and like a few messages in starts behaving completely ooc.

them all being clones: because the models memory and context are so stripped down every single bot has lost its personality. it doesn't matter if you're talking to a villain or a best friend, they all start using the exact same generic sentences.

the useless pin feature: even if you pin important details the bot treats the pinned message like a random fact it read in a textbook once completely ignoring it in the actual flow of the chat. (atleast in my experience)

stop calling downgrades “updates.” you didn't give them better memory and you didn’t take away the old chat models because the new ones are supposed to be better… you did it cause you guys suck ass :/

Is anyone else actually tired of these useless updates? They dropped PSQ2 and the Yap style like we’re supposed to celebrate, but it literally changes nothing. The replies are still bad and making a bot talk more doesn't matter if what it’s saying is repetitive or completely out of character. Even on Yap mode the bots feel like they’re on a strict word count because I'm still getting maybe two sentences if I'm lucky.

It feels like they make the bots shitty on purpose so we have to use more swipes and go ons just to get a decent response. Then they turn around and limit those same swipes and try to make us pay for more. Stop giving us things NOBODY asked for while ignoring the actual community feedback. We want the quality we had a year ago, not rebrands that are just there to pacify us.

why does this forum even exist if they aren’t going to listen to anything people say on here… the entire c.ai community is complaining and instead of making their app / website useable they add a bunch of new things NOBODY asked for. if you want a “better” c.ai stop taking the good parts of the platform away… #bringback2024c.ai
