What permanent colors to use to get this color roughly?

I am new to coloring my own hair and trying to save money at salons for right now. I am also just willing to experiment a bit with my hair.

After a bunch of reading up on the permanent colors, I have decided on wella charm colors line.

My question is, would you know what combo of colors to get to this inspo picture? I am ok with settling at a level 6.5, but optimally a level 7. I am thinking of combining 6RG and 8G OR 7G. What do you think? Is there another combo that may be better?

My natural color is the second picture and is at its base maybe a level 5 with some reddish golden highlights right now.

I am planning on using a 20vol developer.

Any tips on the process is welcome, again I am new to all of this! Thank you for any help!

Henna fading

I have applied henna twice now, once with a 40/60 henna/cassia and then next with a 100% henna, this time using bright red from light mountain. I loved the results of the second application at first but now it's faded.

My hair looked beautiful the first week then it fades. I have about a level 5/6 natural hair color with some highlights.

This is my hair right after applying and then a week after. Not sure if I am just doing something wrong or not and I am hesitant to do another application as I've heard it gets darker with every application.

I let my henna sit with orange juice and chamomile tea for about 5-6 hours, then apply and leave on for about 2 hours, then rinse, I have been using shampoo right after maybe that is making it fade? First picture is right after applying, the second and third are about a week after. The last photo is kinda where I want to end up with my hair.

Any tips are appreciated! Thank you!

Lighten henna?

I have naturally level 5 brown hair, lightens to a level 6 in the sunlight I'd say. I have bleached highlights throughout my hair. I just placed light mountain bright henna and the first day my hair was perfect, my roots were a dark copper and my highlighted parts were a brighter copper.

However since then it has oxidized and while my highlighted ends are still a copper color, my roots are now like a very dark auburn color; they almost look brown in the shade.

So... I have been doing a bit of research and have found sun in and bleach baths as viable options, which would you recommend? Or is there a better way to lighten my roots? I just want it lightened just a bit to bring back that dark copper color that was there when I had first dyed my hair. Edit: I did only keep the henna on for 2 hours could that be why it faded in my brown?

Thank you for any tips!

Second layer of henna, is there any way to prevent or minimize oxidation?

So I posted here last weekend after I had done my first application of henna. The results were beautiful but I wanted more red. I had done a cassia/henna mix in a ratio of about 55/45. It left my blonde highlights a light golden copper and my roots had a sheen of redness to them.

I loved it but wanted a darker red and just more red in general so I did another application of henna, this time using the Light mountain bright red, I poured the whole packet in a bowl (about 113g) and added enough cassia to make the whole mixture 120g total.

First pic is my before with highlighted lengths and brown roots. Second pic is after the first application and last two are about 20 hours after the bright henna. Hopefully it doesn't oxidize too much because I love this color! 😍 My hair feels so soft and so silky!

Any tips to prevent oxidation?

Also would doing a cassia application in say a months time help to renew the shine/silky feeling to my hair without adding any extra color?

Before and after henna

After a bunch of research about henna for hair, I finally decided to go for it and it was honestly a lot easier and more fun than I was expecting! 😂 The hardest part was putting it all in and I hope I got all my roots in as this was the first time I've ever done home dying in general.

This is the morning before and a few hours after rinsing it all out. I used a 55/45 cassia/henna mix as I knew I could always go darker. I might use sun-in later to help lighten the darker parts of my hair, but I am very happy with the result!

It also makes my hair feel amazing and super silky!

The third picture is inside and the fourth is outside. Hopefully it doesn't oxidize too much over the next few days as I am very happy with this color!

First timer, could I get this color with just henna? What add-ins should I include?

First time user of henna, after a bunch of research, I bought one box each from light mountain of the light red, regular red and bright red.

Would I be able to attain this color of red/copper from just plain henna (red box) or should I use the light/bright red?

How long does the henna need to sit for? I keep reading about varying times, anywhere from 3 hours to overnight (8hours), which is better to attain this red? And how long should I leave it on my hair?

I am planning on mixing with chamomile, any other add-ins I should consider to achieve this red color?

I have medium brown naturally, I included a picture now with some blonde highlights, and a picture of my hair without any coloring.
