The main reason we came was the big tri-state job market. But if that’s no longer a major consideration and lower cost of living is what we would prefer, then where have you gone? Thanks.
Hello all, We are a married couple in our 30s and exploring the possibility of moving from NYC metro area to Lebanon area - including also Grantham, Enfield, Etna. We are past the life stage of seeking out nightlife scenes. One of us work remotely and the other is working on a startup. Would love to have a few acres of land. This is also an opportunity to get closer to family in the upper valley. Wondering if you can share recommended areas and pros/cons? We are looking at under $900k ideally $650-$750k range. We don’t have kids yet though that’s a possibility. Also wondering what the local activity community and intellectual scenes are like, e.g. Dartmouth events/lectures/courses open to community? Thanks!
Have tried Wegmans, Costco, Fleetwood Bakery Shop, Flour Power, Martine’s. None of them gives that rich real cacao taste. Thanks.

Hi all,
I had a septum removal by surgeon late last year and it was confirmed by the same surgeon as good recovery/sufficient for pregnancy a month later. I have since gone through 2 failed euploid transfers (3BB no implantation at all: 4CB generating low hCG at beta). My RE looped back the surgeon for her opinion about the septum and a potential polyp. Unfortunately the surgeon won’t be able to perform hysteroscopy for weeks.
As part of the diagnostic workups I did:
- saline sonogram -> potential small polyp could be just endometrium too
- endo biopsy - came back negative
We have two euploids on ice now - a day 5 5BC and a day 7 5BC. I’m 38 so time counts. Surgeon told me she didn’t cut too deep because that would be more harm than good after the operation. And she thought uterus was in good shape though it’s arcuate. I doubt it could grow back?
I’m wondering what route you recommend from here?
I’m thinking about asking my RE to do the hysteroscopy- remove polyp if it’s one and inspect septum - my understanding is that he would defer all surgical actions on the septum to the surgeon. Thanks!
Hi all,
Appreciate this community’s support. After two failed euploid transfers, we went into another round of ER - 5 blasts from 13 eggs turned into 2 euploids, day 5 5BC and day 7 5BC. Conventional IvF was used.
A bit of history so far:
Now we have two options:
One is the transfer route
- before then doc would want another specialist who did my uterine septum removal to review the latest saline sonogram done earlier this week and see if it needs to be shaved further. They also suspect a small polyp (could be endometrium) so in any case would like to perform hysteroscopy before further transfer
- they also did endo biopsy this week too and will review results
The other is banking more embryos
- our insurance can still cover so cost isn’t a concern
I’m 38 this year and we are hoping for 1 kid. Fortunately most of the meds and procedures so far have been fairly easy on my body and we are fortunate with clinic close to us. But the psychological game in the process hasn’t been super fun. If after four rounds of transfers, we are still unsuccessful, maybe we just have to accept that we won’t be parents. So wondering which route would you recommend? Any additional thoughts or consideration that I may have missed but should discuss with the doctor? Thanks!
Hello all,
This is our tranquility from David Austin. It has been a very active bloomer, but from time to time we see this yellowing of petals. I’m not sure if that indicates anything concerning? It certainly diminishes the beauty of the rose. Thank you.
Copying the other great thread on northern Westchester so we don’t have to spend more time researching a decent place to eat than actually eating the food.
*not inherently great but decent ish by Westchester standards
On my pathetically short list:
Johnny’s pizza - Mt Vernon
Don José Mexican - Yonkers
Carlo’s - Yonkers
Pizzaria La Rosa - New Rochelle
*SGD DUBU SO GONG DONG TOFU & KOREAN BBQ - Hartsdale
* O Mandarin - Hartsdale
Ours does when he’s deep asleep so wondering if that’s normal? No sharp sounds or anything. Cat tax attached
Hello all, just received our trigger instructions and clinic asked us to produce semen at home on the morning of retrieval using a collection kit and retrieval time is at 2p. Is this customary and if so would a couple of hours from semen production to delivery at clinic diminish sperm quality? In our last round of embryo freezing hubby produced semen on site and this was at another clinic. So this is our first time dealing with an offsite collection. Worst case scenario we may just book a hotel near the clinic to keep the sperm fresher. Thanks.
Hello all,
Going into another round of ER later this week. My doctor is on vacation during the first half or my stims and clinic said doctors on duty for the day will review the charts/scans and determine stim dosage, etc. Is this a cause for concern? On the one hand I would prefer my doctor’s attention throughout the entire cycle but on the other hand I’ve read often it’s the nurse helping determine the dosage anyways… Thanks.
