The never-ending period

I am 53 and went straight from BCP to HRT assuming i’ve reached menopause due to my age. This decision was made with my gynecologist. On HRT I bled for nine months with no more than a two week break. We’ve done two biopsies and a hysteroscopy and a polyp removal. After some testing we determined I am still in perimenopause so I went back on the pill. I got through one pill pack with no bleeding but now I’ve been bleeding for 10 days. I’m just venting. Meanwhile, I’m irritable, I’m sad, I have brain fog, and my body hurts. I miss the days before and look forward to the days after.

Gin and Tonic

I’m new to cocktails and have discovered that I love gin and tonic, thanks to the recommendation of a friend while I was in Europe. I’d like to be more educated about the various gin and the various tonic options. Went to a bar today back in the states and the bartender asked me which gin I’d like. I didn’t know so she recommended Fords. I asked her about tonic options and she said all they ever have at the bar is just basic tonic water. In Europe, however they had multiple options. The drink was decent, but I do feel like something was missing with just the “basic tonic” She also asked me if I wanted any fruit. Is it normal to add fruit to a gin and tonic? I am looking for recommendations for gins and tonics that I should try. Thanks.

What about the children?

This is mostly just venting. I am a feminist. I support women, but I am really struggling with this idea that supporting women means believing that Lindsey Clancy is not guilty by reason of mental disease or defect. I get it that perhaps postpartum mental health issues do not receive enough attention however you don’t get to just kill children. She strangled her three children, one by one, with exercise bands. I don’t care how depressed you are or even if you heard a commanding voice. Say no.

Wireless bras

I would like some more comfortable bras. I get so many ads on social media, but I don’t really know if they are good bras or not so I’m looking for personal experiences with comfortable wireless bras that I can wear during the day. Thanks.

Edit to add: bra size is 34 G, in the US

Should I get one? Is it good for vegan/vegetarians?

I’m thinking of getting my first Thermomix. I do a lot of meal prep for 4 adults; 3 vegans and one flexitarian. I am an experienced cook but I’m not passionate about cooking and am kinda sick of it. I’m looking for easier ways to get meals made. The Thermomix seems like it does a lot of work for you but I’ve seen some reviews saying you still have to do all of the chopping and prep work. Is that true? I thought it chopped veggies for you. Any vegans/vegetarians here who find it useful?
