all i did was sleep..

all i did was sleep..

what did i do to reach 270 last night you may ask? absolutely nothing but sleep. genuinely so confused LOL, but it’s a bit funny to think about how that just randomly happened (and no, i had no fats that i know of last night that would’ve delayed the spike).

one of many firsts i suppose!

trying to figure out my basal

when i was first diagnosed, i was put on 10. that proved to be too low, so my endo bumped me up to 16. at first it was good, but then it started steadily dropping me throughout the night, so i went to 15 and it seemed to be working. this bring us to now (and these graphs). at some point, i would start dropping throughout the day, which could mean nothing!!! but the first two pics scared me a bit, so i tried 14 today… by looking at the last graph, is 14 too low? keep in my the two lows in that graph are compression lows.

tbh, i’m new and trying to figure things out on my own. i definitely know 16 was too high, but idk if 15 or 14 is the move :/

happy to provide more context where needed

cgm keeps saying i’m going low, but i’m not

essentially what the title says!

this is my third cgm (libre 3+), but i haven’t really had this issue before. could it be it’s predicting them? for example, it just said i was at 66 when i was actually at 94. literally don’t know what to do, but it obviously freaks me out and i hate having to check to see is it’s accurate ESPECIALLY before a meal because now i’m worried i’ll actually go low during the meal :/

any advice and/or insight is welcome!

is my basal too high?

started off on 10 units of lantus with my pcp, but that left me too high. endo told me to take 16 units instead… even though these aren’t necessarily true lows (because i know i’m catching them ahead of time as i set my first low alarm to 90), is my basal too high? i really don’t want to have to worry about going low at night.

i head that you want your chart to look steady in between meals, which is obviously not the case for my chart right now. if my basal is, in fact, too high.. by how much should i lower it by? should i go down to 14 or 15?

also, the high in the second picture was because i was up late with friends and ate something lol..
i also realize the first picture looks steady, but it typically looks like the other 2 pictures.

as the title says, i bled after applying the libre 3 plus cgm. it’s my first time applying one by myself, and i was wondering if this was normal. when i look it up, i get mixed reviews, so i’m wondering what you all think! also, any tips on how to place it better next time so it doesn’t happen would help 🧎

the real question: can i leave it in or do i have to change it (blood did drip down my arm, but it stopped almost immediately)?

UPDATE: yea, i bruised up pretty bad LOL i had to call for a replacement because it wasn’t scanning on the app. any tips on how to avoid this as i try again on my other arm?
