Hello! I bought this for Typewriter day and I love it but there’s an issue with the ribbon.

I tried googling but I can’t find a solution. My ribbon isn’t advancing and I tried changing direction manually but either way it goes it doesn’t pull the ribbon through.
I think it’s trying to advance but it’s not pulling hard enough?? I tried to tighten the nut that holds the spools in place but it’s as tight as it will go. Any suggestions?

It came with an instruction manual but it’s pretty basic.

Should I overexpose two stops? Not cold stored, found in a closet.
