AVII JM and P2 Chambered Tele
My current favorite guitars. I got these both b stock this year. The experience with the JM was much better. It’s my dream guitar and aside from the vintage truss rod adjustment I have no complaints. I put a decoboom pickguard on and new strings but haven’t changed anything else. I kinda want to put a mustang bridge on but haven’t figured out which one would be best. The stock bridge is fine. I just prefer the mustang style. The pickups are amazing. Very articulate and you can get so much variance in sound between the rhythm circuit and cranking the tone super low or at 10. I usually either use both pickups or the rhythm circuit rn. Jazzmasters are the most comfortable guitars in my opinion and I wish I had bought one a very long time ago.
A tele was my first “legit” electric 20+ years ago. But the MiM one I ended up with had very bad QC issues and I just always had assumed I didn’t know how to play electric. So for many many years I played acoustic only.
Anyways, I saw these player II chambered I really wanted to replace my old one. I found one that looked good for a good price b stock. I checked on the weight and it was supposedly 6 pounds which was awesome. When I got it it definitely didn’t seem like 6 pounds (it was over 7). The seller ghosted me completely and I was pretty mad but honestly it has the nicest neck of any guitar I’ve ever played and I couldn’t put it down. I ended up keeping it. Hell of an upgrade over my old tele.
