I’m looking to put together an online D&D group made up entirely of beginners who want to learn the game together and hopefully turn it into a regular campaign.

I’ve only played a couple of one-shots myself with pre-made characters, so I’m definitely still new. The idea is that nobody really knows what they’re doing yet and we figure it out together instead of being dragged through by experienced players. It could be fun to take turns trying to DM as well.

I’m based in New Zealand so time zones might take a little coordination depending on where people are from, but I’m keen to make it work.

Mostly just looking for relaxed people who have wanted to get into D&D properly but felt intimidated joining established groups.

Hey all,

I’ve been feeling nostalgic for the Xbox 360 era and wanted to see if anyone here would be keen to try recreating that old-school multiplayer experience on PC.

I’ve been messing around with the Xenia (Xbox 360) emulator and looking into Netplay (using something like Hamachi) to simulate LAN multiplayer. The goal is to get a group together and bring back some of the classics No live service, no battle passes, no microtransactions, just straight-up multiplayer like it used to be.

I am talking:

• Gears of War
• Halo 3
• Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare
• Army of Two
• Marvel Ultimate Alliance
• Everything / anything else people miss

Fair warning, this is a bit experimental. It’s not as simple as installing and playing. There will be some setup, troubleshooting, and figuring out which games/configs actually work well. But if we can get it going, being NZ-based should mean we can get really solid, low-ping connections compared to the old days. (Anyone remember with GOW back in the day we had to search specifically 9 rounds, 9 something else... just to find other Kiwi players?)

Mainly just looking for people who:

• Miss that era of gaming
• Are keen to tinker a bit to get things working
• Want to play some proper multiplayer/coop again if we can pull it off

I’m based in Lower Hutt and keen to start (or find) a small group to play Dungeons & Dragons in person. I’ve played a couple of one-shot games at Hobby Lords so still pretty new, but I’m really interested in getting into a proper ongoing campaign.

Ideally looking for:

• Beginner-friendly players (or patient experienced ones)
• People who are keen on a consistent group rather than one-offs
• In-person sessions somewhere around Lower Hutt
• Chill, collaborative vibe — more about having fun than rules-lawyering

I’m open to either joining an existing group or helping put one together from scratch. I’m also flexible on roles — happy to be a player, or possibly DM.
