90s book about a bear family w/each chapter being about a different member
This is NOT a Berenstain/stein or Little Bear book.
This was an early chapter book for kids where the illustration took up most of the page, there'd have been around four sentences a page, and a few pages per chapter.
Each chapter was about a different family member (mom, dad, big sister, big brother [possibly, this is one of the only parts of the book i dont recall if he did exist], little sister, baby brother).
Big sister was playing teacher and directing the youngers like they were at school. Little sister (i think) drew a picture for mama and big sister kept judging it. Baby brother had to go take a nap, snuck a crayon, and drew all over the wall above his crib.
The dad's section is the one I remember best; dad is making himself some food in the kitchen. After each individual item is made, he sets it at the table and it suddenly disappears. There's a glass of milk and a PB&J sandwich. Turns out it's the kids sneaking the food while hiding under the table and when he realizes, he makes enough for everyone.
From my recollection, it was bright and colorful, not dull or toned down. I don't believe it was an "I can read book," I think the book was more square than that, but I definitely could be wrong. I would have read it in the late 90s and it felt "modern" compared to some other books, so I do believe it would have been published in maybe '97 or '98.
