I was ghosted by my boyfriend

Sooo, I was ghosted two months ago by my boyfriend of 8 months. He literally was saying I love you and miss you (we’re long distance) up until the day before he ghosted.

We had a fight on a call - I was out of hospital about a month after having brain surgery - and he was stressed with work. I can’t remember the exact fight but he hung up the phone.

Usually if he hung up or I hung up we would give space, and the person who hung up would text the next day. He didn’t. And it went on for a week until I texted him and he didn’t reply. I sent him a reel on Instagram and he didn’t reply. He was doing all this crazy stuff on Instagram like posting, and reposting and liking really disrespectful reels (like “me when I’ve moved on” etc). Then a week after I had texted he removed me from Instagram and unfollowed me. I tried to call him but he didn’t answer and sent no follow up as he usually would if I called.

Over the next few weeks he would change his profile picture, change his bio, he even changed his Spotify profile picture (I was his only follower) and followed an artist called Aurora - a name he said he liked for a daughter.

So on Eid (he is Muslim), I texted him after 2 months of these games. He responded and was warmish, but I asked for a conversation, and he said he just wanted to text.

I blocked him everywhere and didn’t respond. But I have since unblocked him on WhatsApp only. I never responded to the message. I feel bad for not responding but I couldn’t talk about my cat and the weather when that was how we started off and I needed an answer as to how he could leave like that but him not wanting to get on a call solidified for me that I wasn’t worth the effort.

Will he reach out again?

Miethke Pro Gav Gravitational VP shunt

Hi just wondering if anyone here has experience of having a miethke pro gav gravitational shunt?

I had one inserted in January after months of overdrainage, which was causing symptoms like fainting air hunger. It got so bad to the point where I couldn’t stand without fainting.

This shunt is definitely much better as I can stand and walk etc now, however, finding the right setting has been tough. I started on setting 15 which was way too high and gave me symptoms of hydrocephalus, scans also showed my brain was full of fluid. I dropped to setting 13 and then to 10 over the last month or two. Setting 13 was still too high because I had incontinence and other symptoms related to hydrocephalus.

On setting 10, I didn’t have as much symptoms of hydrocephalus, however my depression and obsessive thinking came back - these were the first symptoms of hydrocephalus I had when it wasn’t affecting me physically - these symptoms vanish instantly when the hydrocephalus goes. However, on setting 10 I also had “prickles” in my forehead which was a first symptom of over drainage.

Today, I was moved to setting 8 - my doctor said when I was sitting and he measured the pressure I was -7. He said this was normal but my other consultant changed the shunt when I was at -10.

I’m going to monitor the symptoms over the next week but can anyone tell me if they have had experience of a setting making a major difference? Aka going from setting 10 to 11.

Thanks so much
