Tsukki’s awakening was one of my most favourite scenes, gave me goosebumps!! I’m new to animation so I know it doesn’t do it justice :’)

I’ll be starting a 9-5 soon so I wanted to make the most out of my unemployment time! Slides 1, 3, and 5 are 1-1 ~1hr studies (swipe to see creds to the artist/Pinterest profile the references were from!), focusing mainly on colour! Slide 2 is an arbitrary colour practice with no particular reference, and slide 4 is a fanart of gojo from jjk hidden inventory :)

No colour picking or colour curves were used, since I really wanted to try to train my eyes and follow my emotions more on colour picking!

Things I added following your advices:
- Adjusted values
- Added shadow for poles
- Added bloom/haze effect for a more nostalgic feel
- Added sun spots/lens glare for a more nostalgic feel
- Adjusted hand placement (tried taking ref pics with a friend!), made neck a bit thicker
- Added the pole thingies on the right so that it's not too left heavy
- Rendered poles in the background a bit

I hope the camera roll history drawing on the bottom left is okay as well, but any advices would be really appreciated! I also wanted to thank everyone for the super helpful feedback from my last post, and your kind words :) You’ve helped me so much and I learned so much! It’ll be very useful knowledge for me moving forward with art!

It just doesn’t convey the nostalgia emotion well I feel? Maybe the focal point isn’t clear? Or the colours should be more desaturated, and maybe cooler? Or maybe my lighting is off? I’m really not sure but I’m not liking it despite the time I’ve spent rendering and adjusting. Please help, thank you!
