Help with neighborhoods for large house rental (girls trip)

Hi! I’m in the process of planning a girls trip this March with 8 other women. We are looking to rent a house where we can spend a good deal of time (pool, spacious, etc) but also want easy-ish access to restaurants, shopping, night life etc. (doesn’t need to be walkable) Any recs on where we should focus our search? I would appreciate any and all insights! Thank you!!

Connecting with a Recruiter

Well I got denied for the job I applied for. I knew it would be a long shot but I’m still bummed. This was for a PT/Seasonal Recruiter for DCP which only seems to come around once a year if that.

What are my options for connecting with a recruiter? Do I need to wait for jobs to be listed on the website or do Disney Recruiters work like other recruiters where they will actively help you find a role you might be suited for?

The type of job I’m looking for is a unicorn bc I need it to be both remote and PT, so not a lot of options! Anyways, just wondering where I go from here other than just checking the job postings daily. Appreciate any insights! Thank you.

Help with speciality dining and entertainment options (Ovation/Alaska)

Hi there, I believe speciality dining and entertainment booking opens tomorrow for our July cruise. I’ve never cruised before and am feeling quite overwhelmed. We obviously want to have a mix between full port days and enjoying the ship in the evening.

I would very much appreciate hearing from others on how to best balance when to choose speciality dining, when to enjoy the main dining room, and what time to pick for a show.

For reference here is some info:
Family of 5 (3 teens)
Days 1, 2, 6 and 7 are at sea.
Day 3 Juneau 9-9
Day 4 Skagway 730-730
Day 5 Icy Strait 730-430
We have a 6:45 MDR each night

Can anyone speak to how they might choose things? For instance, would it likely feel like too much to do Hibachi after a full port day? Would you choose to eat dinner in any of these towns rather than on the ship? (Has anyone done the salmon bake in Juneau?)

For the shows, based on our dining time of 645 which show time would you choose? Can anyone speak specifically to any of the Ovation shows?

I appreciate any and all insights. Thank you!!

Associate Recruiter for CP (seasonal)

So I just applied for this last week. The listing is officially closed now and I’ve been checking my application status way too frequently! I imagine many people applied for this role (bc I don’t think it’s always listed) so I’m wondering what my chances are that my application even gets read! 😩

Does anyone have experience with this particular role or can offer any general feedback? For instance:

  1. How long does it typically take for any movement in application status on workday?

  2. I uploaded both my resume and cover letter but wondering if they will actually read those? Or do they often just read the generic info I inputted into their portal.

I’m excited/nervous and really just trying to get a sense of when I might hear anything at all. Thank you for any advice!
