Is this coat worth getting fixed?

Bought it for $10 and just received it. Seller said it didn’t have significant damage lol. 80% wool 20% cashmere. I was fine with 1-2 holes but no more than that. I love this coat but able to return it.

Had my first round of physical therapy for GP yesterday and already feeling a difference

I’m a little shocked honestly as I was diagnosed with severe GP last summer. After my appt I was able to eat 3 protein based small meals yesterday alongside a few snacks with water then 2 eggs for breakfast this morning. That would is usually send me into an immediate bad flare but I feel pretty decent and less bloated than I usually am. Even was able to digest a brownie yesterday as well which I wasn’t really able to do before.

She stretched my stomach and diaphragm alongside provided pelvic floor exercises and manual therapy on my pyloric spinchter which was obviously TIGHT from being paralyzed, liver, and intestines to get them moving and explained when taking medication you need to keep your liver moving and checked on. After a few minutes I noticed a lot of muscles were looser and balance also got a little better from loss of muscle mass from weight loss. Also belched and farted like 30 times. My GI explained expelling gas means digestion is working and very important.

If you’re at a loss, PLEASE see a complex issue physical therapist and/or one that is experienced with GI issues. General physical therapy is also good for muscle loss and strengthen your pelvic floor is also huge. Visceral manipulation and assessment of the upper cervical region where the vagus nerve (controls the pyloric spincter)is one of the most important things to look into though.

Unfortunately my PT isn’t taking new patients so I can’t provide her info. But if anyone has any questions I am happy to ask.

27F | looking for friends close in age

Listening to The Killers (Hey Johnny is currently playing) while my house smells of fries and a rosemary rub steak. Incredible. Now looking at cat pics cause I want one SO BAD but can’t cause fAmiLy ALLeRgIeS so send me pictures of your precious little furballs for me to be insanely jealous over

Born and raised west (best) coast USA

My favorite pastime is listening to music and my favorite genres are indie rock, garage, pop punk, punk, post punk & dream pop. The Strokes, Goo Goo Dolls, Twin Peaks, Beach House, Descendents & All Time Low have been on repeat lately but I’ve listened to like 450 songs in the last week so there’s that.

My guilty pleasure is early Bieber, One Direction and Taylor Swift so HUSH.

I just finished watching Gilmore Girls and I’m OBSESSED but I also like The Blacklist, I Will Find You, The Bear (i need to catch up), Bob’s Burgers, Daria (people call me Louise and Daria combined). I don’t watch much tv despite never leaving my house. Been watching Ed Edd and Eddy lately. Love me some 90’s- early 2000’s cartoons!

My top movies are Kill Bill, John Wick series, Little Miss Sunshine, Stand By Me, The Professional, & Goodfellas. There’s plenty more I’m forgetting though.

Huge hockey fan here 1.) for the violence and 2.) for the insane skill. Don’t really care for other sports though and most put me to sleep.

I’m just learning how to crochet and considering going back to school but math and aren’t on speaking terms and my studying skills have been replaced by research about whatever weird topic my ADHD brain thinks of at 3am.

OH and I’m recently chronically ill (my tummy is broken) so I’m a hermit but it’s nothing different than I was before. You can thank social anxiety for that ✌🏼 I’m either too serious, sarcastic as hell or completely unserious so I apologize for both if I’m too much lol.

Anyway if you made it this far… this is explains my humor perfectly so enjoy for you weirdos to enjoy https://youtu.be/ecRJJJC_2ec?si=j599uRmY_wPtxIan

Has anyone seen a Physical Therapist and/or an osteopathic doctor for GP?

I reached out to my former PT from another issue that I know very well and wholeheartedly trust. She immediately recommended craniosacral therapy and wants to assess my upper cervical region.

I think my GP was brought on by a bad concussion about 10 months prior to my first flare. I developed self-diagnosed POTS symptoms that went away within 2 weeks and had mild/moderate nausea ever since. It could’ve very well could’ve been prediabetes, though hospital doctors and nurses have mentioned GP is usually brought on by full fledged diabetes long term and not just prediabetes. They checked my A1C and I wasn’t there yet.

I’m getting pretty desperate and will be paying out of pocket. I would love to know what your outcome was. I’m currently diagnosed with severe GP and have been dealing with this for a little over a year now.

Just discovered my new favorite cheesy snack

Unbothered Foods (brand) Sourdough Cheddar and Chive crackers! I’m a massive cheese lover though I can’t have my favorite types anymore. These taste SO GOOD and I’m in a flare currently so I can’t eat much. Been eating these all day with literally 0 issues. Just scored several more bags at HomeGoods for like $5 each. Bonus points is that they’re made by a RDN and fit the GP diet perfectly. I’m so happy I found these.
