Kinda caught between a MS in Recreation and Sports Management or a MAg in Natural Resources Conservation. My BA was Latin American Studies. Went a different direction, obviously haha.

In the former you can get a certified parks professional cert, and courses are more focused on things like facility and personnel management. The latter is pretty broad, but more interesting to me, personally. Courses included environmental law and policy, silviculture, and statistics for animal science. As someone without a natural science background, I was hoping the MAg in natural resources could help fill some of those educational gaps in the natural science area.

I have over 3 years of local and state park and preserve experience from selling permits out of the booth to land management. I've done prescribed burns, shaded fuel breaks, made reservations, removed invasive species, kept grounds and cleaned bathroom haha. Titles include customer service rep, park maintenance worker, natural resources tech, and park operations specialist. But I still struggle to land permanent entry level park ranger, arborist, or natural resources jobs locally. I'm doing park maintenance now.

The plan was to get equipment experience to really transition into fire and land management, but I don't know if that's my lane anymore. I'm interested in interp, recreation coordination, resource communication/outreach, outdoor programs etc... I'm not against park management. I've also seen stuff like wildfire mitigation specialist that seems like outreach for wildland fire groups. Local park ranger jobs seem like a mix of technical conservation work and outreach which also is up my alley.

I guess I'm not sure which degree might be more valuable as far as a return on investment. I feel like the natural resources degree is more broad and could help me land some more natural area outreach positions. It also may help cancel out my lack of a natural resources bachelor's for those jobs that require it. While I've learned a lot on the job, I still have a lot of gaps in my academic knowledge when it comes to natural science. The parks focused degree has some valuable practical courses. All of these places have personnel and facilities and finances to manage, after all. Lastly, I am eligible for my ISA arborist cert, and I'm studying for that.

Any advice appreciated!

I feel like black flame is one of the most fuckass builds, especially for pvp. But it sure looks cool.

I think it was from mowing and weed eating at work. Didn't think much of it. Went to have my first smoke on my day off with a hot cup of joe...

I could immediately feel it getting worse off the first drag. I cannot afford to fuck myself up right now after my family just had a big medical situation. But I took another couple drags before putting it out. I knew what it was doing, but I wanted to be sure, and more than anything, I wanted to fucking smoke!

I just slapped a patch on. I guess this is one of those times when I know I have to quit. I knew it would come up eventually, but I don't feel ready. I thought there would be a time again where I wanted to quit. But I just don't. I *have* to, though. I hate that it feels so difficult.

I have a full pack sitting on the back porch. I want to throw them away, but I'm the type of freak to dig them out later. I've even gathered the ripped up butts up before. I guess I just want someone to say something. It's embarrassing to describe how hard it is to anyone I'm close to. I feel like they wouldn't understand.

It seems like they double downed on this where most wanderers feel like jacks of all trades and masters of none. That would be fine in a game with plentiful points, but they are often spread so thin and so badly that I rarely see these guys level up. Only the most focused wanderers make progress in stuff like medicine and scouting, but I sorta need them to participate in combat, partially to level.

It's not a big deal as I use character reload now and move the points around, but it's strange to me that someone would go through the pain of learning throwing, polearm, one handed, crossbow, bow, and 2 handed when you can only carry so much and when I meet them they have a single rusty one handed weapon.

But really, maybe there's a reason for this in a gameplay sense that I just don't understand. What's the deal?

Just lost a big one after crushing their first cav wave to a man. They kept spam spawning crossbows right out of range of my own. Thinking I need to limit waves. I'm also curious if I should just set it to have my top tiers spawn first, but what do y'all do?

Just downloaded again to play War Sails, but I'm a bit overwhelmed with the new skills. I figured I'll do what I know in the skill tree, but I'd like to engage with some of the new ship battles and raids without being a raider myself.

Maybe that's silly, but I'm curious how one might get to see some of their new stuff from mostly the land. I was already thinking about targeting a sea side town to own. Defend from roads maybe. Use a smaller vessel to join bigger battles?

What do you think? I don't want to spread myself this on skill points going in, but I want to see some of this new stuff. Or should I just make a naval guy and figure it out? Any advice appreciated.

Peacekeeper. Applies to everybody pretty much. Red sleeves and green cloth under the brownish bracers with metal pauldron. Nothing matches, even in the same set. Brown leather paisley greaves when the arms are like iron or steel. Just give me some metal. The best peacekeeper sets are mostly the first ones, but I hope you like grey slop. The mailed coif thing is cool, but most of the hoods have some garish fucking pattern and/or golden frilly dogshit. I spend thousands of steel just to not look like a toddler dressing itself for the first time. Don't even get me started on the fuck ass weapons. I just pick one of the three starter ones to not look like a complete jackass.
