Looking for WSET L3 book pdf newer than 2016

I have the 2016 book version, but 10 years is a long period, so I'm looking for a newer one. Scouted the usual locations, they all only have the 2016.

All integrity suddenly gone

OnePlus 8T. Device integrity worked fine, then suddenly gone. Did OTA (within A16), might be related, but I did remove the modules and reinstalled them and it didn't help.
Don't need strong.

[EU] Simple beard trimmer

Hi,

looking for a trimmer with adjustable height. Currently using a Philips beardtrimmer series 7000, but it's falling apart. Plus I really don't need all the different heads and whatnot.

For quite some time now I'm doing under the chin with 0-1mm and the rest of the face 4-5mm. Once a week. Looks good, feels good. So all I need is a couple mm settings, a standard width head.

Would consider cordless, but probably is corded is better for longevity. Although the Philips is going strong for years now.

Thank you

[EU] Simple / cheap wheel to buy for home use

Hi, the studio fees can add up over the months, so i'm considering purchasing a wheel for home. Of course I love the Shimpo in the studio, but this is more like a hobby for me, so don't really have 1500€ for this.

Currently I'm working with masses less than 2kg. I've seen a good couple cheaper wheels lately, in the 200-400€ range. Anyone has a recommendation for one? Happy to purchase used, however the used market isn't too big in eastern europe.

Thank you!

Had an idea to do a split design

Bit of masking tape to ensure the straight lines.
4x Chun plum on one, 3x Iron lustre on the other, 2x oatmeal over whole.

Parents investment fund has high fees, where to move?

My parents in Slovakia have some money (70k, a lot for them) invested in 2 managed funds in Erste Group in their country for a few years now. One is purely stocks, the other is more of a mix (bonds, RE, etc) . Both funds are doing okay (like the whole market...), but the yearly fees are 1,5-2%, which adds up to a few thousand euros over the years. It's set up as monthly purchases, and after 3 years it can be sold with no fees if I remember correctly, so at least part could be liquidated now if needed.

They're both at retirement age, house paid, car fine, no other loan/mortgage. Their cumulated pension is expected to be around 1500€, which should be fine for standard expenses where they live. My father is okay with finances and open to stuff , but my mom is super vary of these things. I assume convincing them to move to Degiro (not even present in Slovakia) or similar, that has no physical office or person to talk to in their native language, is off the table.

Considering their age, maybe getting off the purely stock fund could be a start?

My father currently works in Germany, altogether just for a couple years, but maybe some german banks have better offers?

Thank you for any pointers.

What to learn? [laid off DEV of obscure stuff]

Hi,

recently laid off after 15 years. Kinda ERP product, we used an internally developed tool to build reports. The base was an excel-like grid. I did write some code, but more like glorified excel formulas than actual code.

Back at uni I learned a bit of java, but never really used it. Also recently did write some tests in cypress, but more like extending them, not building from scratch. So, yeah, i'm good at nothing, really.

What is a field / direction worth steering toward? Automatic tests? Maybe project management? I have a half year to get me started on something. I of course realize I might be working for a lower wage in the beginning, but that should be okay.

I'm also considering leaving IT and learning a trade, thinking an electrician.

Thanks for any pointers.

Hi,

I primarily do shorter distances up to HM, training long runs 2h/22-24km, 300km months.

a month ago I did my first ultra: 55k/2700m, 9h. Enjoyed very much, no problems at all.
Last week I did a 41k/1100m, 4:15 - not an ultra, just for reference.

Today, a friend asked if I wanted to do a charity run next April as a team of two. 200km, 1500m elevation, so almost flat, I guess. Limit is 30h.

My questions:

- is this even realistic for me?
- if so, what would be a smarter split? Each of us do it in 1 block, splits of 50, something else?

thanks!
