Snoring - When does it subside?

Husband here.

My wife and I saw the arrival of our newborn last week. Everyone is doing great and my wife is absolutely crushing being a new mother.

During the pregnancy she developed some pretty serious snoring. Enough that I had to go into the spare bedroom the last trimester. She had a LITTLE bit of snoring before the pregnancy, but nothing crazy.

Now that the baby is here, I moved back into our main bedroom (for obvious reasons). Her snoring continues to persist. I know it's only been a week, but is this something I can expect to improve as she heals?

My sleep deprevation at this point is more to do with her snoring than the actual baby. I'm doing everything I can to support here and would like a little bit of hope that the snoring will go away.

I appreciate any insight!

Anyone have success doing this? I was taking 5 drops and initially felt great. I’m subclinical hypothyroid and found out I was iodine deficient.

After about a month I started to feel like shit and was unable to sleep through the night. Sleep has been an issue for me for the past year and a half.

I wake up at 2am wide awake and wired. I’m going to stop all my supplements all together and take a break.

It seems the only way to be successful on this protocol is to super mega dose iodine. Honestly, that seems absurd.

I can more wrap my head around taking one drop every day or at least every few days. But 50-100mg just seems asinine.

Anyone have success doing just 1 drop?

The past year and a half for me have been a roller coaster in terms of sleep. Started 2025 with a serious bout of insomnia and decided to get a full thyroid panel. That's where I saw my TSH at 6. T3, T4, and antibodies were all in range. Classic subclinical hypothyroidism. Didn't really do anything, just kept an eye on it to see if it progressed.

Fast forward 6 months, I got tested again. This time TSH jumped to 11. Same thing with T3, T4, and antibodies (all in range). Okay, well now I gotta do something. Decided NOT to go on levo. I don't believe in the first line of defense being pharmaceuticals.

After some work, I got it down to 7 a few months later. This time I decided to get my iodine and selenium checked. Well, would you look at that, I am iodine deficient.

For the past month and half, I've been dosing 12.5 mg. My first time taking this, I felt like superman, but that went away after a couple months. I've been staying at 12.5mg cause I'm honestly scared to increase further. My plan is to stay at 12.5mg for another few months and get retested.

Has anyone successfully gotten their TSH in normal ranges dosing iodine?
