Nemo sleeping bags

I'm looking to upgrade my Nemo Kyan 20 bag and I need some advice.

My current issue is that I am cold in my bag when it gets below 40. Yes, I know all about the hot water bottle trick and stuffing clothes inside, but I am still cold when backpacking. I am a tall woman and use a regular men's bag, so there is a lot of room around the shoulders which makes me colder.

A lighter bag would be a plus.

Not sure if I should go for synthetic or down, I backpack in the southeast where it is wet and humid and I've gotten my bag wet a few times, thankfully the synthetic dries quickly, should I stick with synthetic or switch to down?

Does anyone have any advice or experience with the current Nemo sleeping bag line up, such as the Coda, Soul, Riff, Disco, or Forte?

PE Exam Advice

Hey yall!

I'm a recent grad (Environmental engineering) and I'm a month into my job as a geotech. I took my FE (Environmental) earlier this year and passed despite only studying for 3 days. I guess my school prepared me well. I want to take the PE exam soon, but I'm not sure which discipline to take.

Environmental has the highest pass rate, Civil: water resources and Environmental seems to be most popular from what I see on LinkedIn, but I'm most interested in Civil: geotech. I didn't take many geotech classes during my undergrad, so I feel like this would require more studying. I'm currently working on civil site design, did my capstone on stormwater, had a geotech construction internship, and I'm also interested in hazardous waste remediation.

Do you have any advice for me on which discipline exam to take? Does it really matter? How long should I study for? What were your experiences like with studying for these exams? My job will pay for me to do a PE exam prep course.

First day at new job

I'm starting my first job on Monday after I graduated college in May as a Geotechnical Engineer. I'm pretty nervous. Any advice?
