I've been wondering what happens in 2030 and beyond when we quickly outstrip LC3's launch cadence capacity. We may get to 20 launches there per year max, given all the flights traffic. So what's after that?
Well I think the Iridium acquisition explains that very well. For those who don't know, the US has a very underutilized launch complex in Alaska that could theoretically launch a bajillion (roughly) times a year. Check out the spaceport in Kodiak. It is ideally positioned for launches to polar orbit.
Iridium satellites operate in polar orbits.
