Left hand bolt action 22

I am looking for a left handed bolt action 22 rifle with a threaded barrel.

So far I’ve only found the CZ 457 as an option which does look good but looking for other options.

Not looking for a cheap rifle. Looking for something of good quality but MUST have a threaded barrel.

*Note*

I’m happy if you don’t think a threaded barrel is necessary for a 22 rifle. You are allowed to prefer whatever you like. I’m asking SPECIFICALLY for a rifle with a threaded barrel though.

Looking for a nice hiking location.

Taking a “friend” for a hike somewhere near Kzoo but I’m not from the area. Need to be able to hike for at least a solid hour. Doesn’t have to be a challenging hike but need something more than a 5 minute trail.

Rad 140 alternatives

NOTE:
This is NOT about your views on Rad 140. It’s totally fine if you like or dislike it. That’s great! This just isn’t about that.

So I used rad 140 in the past and had great results with it. It’s basically impossible to get it now without going through a sketchy website that basically requires bitcoin now.

Are there ANY supplements that you can purchase through a traditional credit card payment that has decent results similar to rad 140?

I don’t expect to get the same results but want something with decent/noticeable results.

What have you found that works?

Shoutout to RCM

I needed a new barrel for my HK45 & purchased a barrel from RCM (https://rimcountrymfg.com) based on recommendations from users in this group.

This was my first & only Hk pistol & I wasn’t aware of how components for them worked. Well I was an idiot (yes I’m outright admitting it) & didn’t realize threads on HK barrels go the opposite direction I’m used to.

I spoke to the owner and he explained to me, without making me feel like an idiot (even though I should have known better), that I need to unthread the thread protector in the opposite direction to get it off.

I beat up the thread protector a little trying to get it off. The owner still was willing to send me a new thread protector free of charge even though the fault was due to my own stupidity.

I appreciate good customer service and how he didn’t make me feel like an idiot. I think they deserve to get more of our business. So if you need gun parts, check them out.

FYI the barrel shoots amazing. Seems to be more accurate than the original HK barrel that was in it.

Need a 45 that can handle cheap reloads

So backstory:

I purchased an HK45 last season model from a local store since they were heavily discounted. I have a home range where I shoot 2-3x per week. I shoot primarily cheap reloads because of the quantity i shoot. This gun was solely for that purpose. The gun was incredible. I ran around 8k cheap reloads through it before I had a strange issue where the slide locked in the open position. I took it to the smith & he said the barrel has a bulge. It will require a new barrel. He said HK barrels are not meant to run cheap reloads. HK barrels are very expensive compared to other barrels and doesn’t make sense to purchase a new barrel if this is gonna happen again.

So I need to find a new 45 pistol that can handle cheap reloads without this sort of issue.

*EDIT*

I absolutely LOVE this HK45 & would prefer to keep shooting it. I was told by the gunsmith that HK’s aren’t as tolerant of reloads as some other companies. Many people disagree with that apparently which is fine. I just took his word for it because i don’t claim to have the knowledge of a professional gunsmith. I have gone ahead and ordered the RCM HK45 barrel from the recommendations from people here. So I appreciate the help. I may get the Glock 21 too because why not?

HK 45 slide stuck in open position

So this is the first time this has EVER occurred for me on ANY pistol. The slide is frozen in the open position. The magazine is cleared, there is no squib load, and the casing cleanly ejected. I’m unable to disassemble the pistol with the slide locked in this position. There is no movement when trying to pull the slide back any further.

Anyone have a link to a video that would show how to fix this?
