Why does the Qur'an explicitly use the term "Islam" for its religion's name, while earlier Abrahamic religions such as Judaism and Christianity don't use equivalent formal-names?

What is the story of Al-Zutt really about?

Christian and other apologists mention this story a lot, in which Muhammed "rode" Jinn all night. I wasn't able to find any more on it and am curious as to what academics think of this.

What is meant by this Hadith about licking fingers? Isn't this unhygienic and considered bad manners? Curious and also doubting.

Assalamu Alaykum.

I have a question regarding the etiquette of eating food. It is said in authentic Hadith that the Prophet ﷺ used to lick his fingertips and plate after finishing for Barakah. There is an additional Hadith that talks about picking up dropped food so that it does not feed Shaytan. It is also said that such things can bring bacteria. I also remember a Hanbali scholar (though I forgot their name) saying that it shouldn't be done or is advised against because of saliva.

I haven't been able to find a deeper explanation of such narrations, its virtue or deeper meaning, etc.,

I'd also like to know if this is a common cultural practice at his time, and whether the environment had influenced this (such as there being a scarcity of food, etc.,)

It would be a great help if anyone can find an answer to this, Jazakallah

What influenced this Hadith? Was there a scarcity of food in the Prophet's time?

There is a certain Hadith that says the Prophet ﷺ had ordered his followers to lick their fingers and plates after finishing to not waste food at all. I'd like to know if there were any environment factors that influenced this, such as there being a shortage of food, the temperature of the region, cultural norms, etc.,

Assalamu Alaykum.

Recently, I've been having doubts with Islam, and most of my questions have been answered. Even so, my heart still lacks the imaan it once had. My brain tells me this is true, rational, logical, however I don't have the faith I used to.

I spend most of my time alone and don't talk to anyone about my issues regarding faith, as there isn't anyone really to talk to.

However I urgently do need support, I don't want to lose faith in this beautiful religion. I want to continue being a believer.

Jazakallah for anyone who sees this.
