I've got a vintage serotta Colorado that has some pretty serious sun damage and nicks and scrapes. It really needs a new paint job but I'm not really up for doing that. One reason is the decals are expensive. So I was thinking maybe I could do some spot repairs and then do a tinted clear coat on it that would hopefully darken the faded paint. I've uploaded the original and a couple examples in different shades, orange and red. What do you guys{and girls) think? The first one is the original.

Just added new handle bars to this bike. Gyes leather saddle, 700c Alex rims, scwalbe tires, alloy stem and bar, center pull brakes, jagwire cables, new grips and Sturmey Archer shifter. Trying to lighten it up as much as possible. Rebuilt the hub and laced it up to the 700c rims. Riding pretty nice now.
