AAdvantage Shopping/Simply miles - Blue Apron info

As info took AAdvantage (lol) of simplymile offer for 1115 miles for spending $50 at blueapron and combine with AAdvanteshopping 15 miles per dollar. Also for some reason Blue apron decided to give me 50% off so got alot for $50. Anyways it appears that BlueApron is out of ingredients and canceling orders so I had my 900 miles from AAshopping reversed. The simplymiles didn't get reversed, so essentially got 1115 miles for free. Would have preferred the food though.

Just more of an FYI as the cancelation email suggests this is an ongoing issue that wont be resolved in the near future.

Hyatt Place - King of Prussia kinda a dump

Nothing actually bad happened to me and the actual staff was fine but....

  • Understaffed - always a line at the front.
  • Fruit flies in dining area. Coffee area had at least 100 next to the coffee dispensers.
  • Had smaller than normal coffee cups no lids for to go. Assume cost savings by not getting branded cups?
  • My Shower 3 piece dispenser was broke and everything fell on my toes.
  • No mini bar up front (placery?) that you come to expect. Had a few sprites and oj's thats it. Was clear they operated a bar at one point but had all the seats turned sideways so you wouldnt sit there and clearly was in disrepair.
  • I went to the work out in Valley Forge with a group at 5:15am and 2 get my 2 free waters before I left at 4:40am was a challenge.
  • One night me and another Hyatt Loyalist seemed to be waiting 20 minutes to get our 2 waters and the lady at the front who was the only one working had a nightmare I guess the whole pool emptied out.
  • One day I left for work at 7am and when I got back at 6 pm the same pizza box was sitting in the hallway by the elevator table meaning no staff had the wherewithal to take it with the garbage.

App offer excepted then tried to negotiate

I know a lot of folks ask about the Offer to move to another flight on the app. "are your plans flexible?" What I have seen on here is a lot of its for data collection or only been offered it once. I was traveling BGR-ORD yesterday and knew it was oversold because of weather in Chicago and NE so just picked the $450 and basically said if i got called up I would do it for 1k... kinda like negotiate after the fact.

Well I did get called up and they told me since I selected a value on the app they couldnt give me anymore money as it was a system thing. The general offer was going to be $600 if I didnt accept. I didnt accept as I really just wanted to see what happened. Spoke to the 2 gentleman who got the $600 each and they had connections and it worked out for them.

Also I was on vacation for 9 days and the number my wife said 1k not trip credit to me if we could fly back in the morning. It sounded like it was going to be 2 days and the $450 TC wouldnt cut it.

Anyways just wanted to put out the app offer does lock you in if they are desperate.
