Some home made poutine

For context, I live in southern Ohio, damn near Dixie. It’s not perfect, but it satisfied my cravings. Maybe more gravy?

I have had poutine in Canada, in Ottawa & in Montréal

Some state flags for Åland and the Faroes I made

🇦🇽 Åland 🇦🇽

The Ålander flags are inspired by Finland's flags.

The first flag is that of the Landtråd of Åland, basically the Prime Minister. The governor of Åland is a representative of the Finnish government, and does not participate in general Ålander governance.

The second flag is a state flag of Åland. It's not military, because Åland is demilitarised.

🇫🇴 The Faroes 🇫🇴

The flags of the Faroes are inspired by Denamark, and a little by Finland.

The first flag is that of the Løgmaður, the Faroese Prime Minister. It is similar to Denmark's state flag with the addition of the Faroese coat of arms in the centre.

The second flag is a state flag of Faroe, based on Denmark's.

Inspired by u/Tindarius198602 's Charlemagne University of Aachen design, I present the University of Blessed Charlemagne of Aachen

Please please please give the original post the love it deserves. I fell in love with the concept immediately, and the dual helms are absolutely awesome. https://www.reddit.com/r/heraldry/comments/1veh9tq/fictional_charlemagne_university_of_aachen/

Give them an upvote if you like this one, please.

Charlemagne is a Blessed in Aachen, and I imagine this University to be run by the Catholic Church. It would be located maybe near the Palatine Chapel or Aachen Cathedral, I'd hope.

Yes, that sword is an attempt at Joyeuse. The Alpha and Omega are in red since it's something Christ said. The three crowns represent his three major titles Charlemagne held, "King of the Franks, King of the Lombards/Italy, and Emperor of the Romans". The title in English is "Charles the Great (Charlemagne), by the Grace of God, King of the Franks and Emperor of the Romans.

Motto means "By sword and Cross", which is attributed to Charlemagne as well.

I made simplified and corporate versions because I love making those.

A tree for the House of Hesse & if a Kingdom of Finland survived

Kingdom of Finland coat of arms inspired by the royal style

In 1918 Finish politician Gustaf Arokallio proposed to the Senate of Finland to give King-elect Friedrich Karl, Landgraft von Hesse, the royal style of, "Charles I, King of Finland and Karelia, Duke of Åland, Grand Duke of Lapland, Lord of Kaleva and the North".

I organised the arms in the fashion of I IV II III. Finland takes the spot of honour, Karelia, the second highest. Lappi, being a Grand Duchy, its rank is higher than Åland's, so it takes spot II. The Regnal arms have bears for supporters, and they have the Hessian Order of the Golden Lion, as well as the Order of the White Rose. The Inestucheon is the arms of the house of Hesse-Kassel. I opted not use the more accurate version of the Crown of Finland since no Fennoscandian country uses the accurate depiction of their crown.

Secondly, I removed the supporters and replaced the crown on the arms with that of Untitled Nobility in the Swedish fashion for the first regent of Finland, Välborne Herr Pehr Evind Svinhufvud af Qvalstad. I replaced the inestucheon with his personal arms, removed the Hessian Order of the golden lion, and added the Order of the Grand Cross of Liberty.

Thirdly, (my favourite), Högvälboren Herr Fältmarskalk Carl Gustaf Emil Mannerheim gets batons as supporters with white roses since he is the Marshal of Finland, even if not so at this point. He has all three Finish Orders, the Order of the White Rose, Order of the Grand Cross of Liberty, and the Order of the Lion of Finland. Once again, the inestucheon is Herr Mannerheim's personal arms. He gets a baron's coronet since he was a...baron.

Kiitos. Tack. Giitu.

Hypothetical Arms of Occitania

Supporters and crest come from the Occitan Song "Ai vist lo lop" which f*ckin slaps. Obviously there's better supporters and crest, but this is what I thought of

In memory of my best friend of 8 years, my dog, Conan

I made this arms quickly in memory of him. I don't care if dogs aren't supposed to have arms.

He was always smiling, even at the very end

Hypothetical Greater Arms of an independent Corsica

Yes, I'm aware Corsica's arms may be f*cked up to some people.

The Order is an interpretation of the Order of Deliverance which existed in the short-lived Kingdom of Corsica, but we do not know what the Collar looked like or if it even had a collar

Finnish line of succession

Fun fact! The House that would rule Finland will change at some point in the near future

Arms of the King of Finland, Crown Prince, and Regent had it survived

All of this is heavily up to your won interpretation, but I took some creative liberties to make things look nicer.

Arms of the King: Arms of Finland with an inescutcheon of the House of Hesse

Arms of the Crown Prince: Quartered: Arms of Finland (I&IV), Arms of Karelia, and Arms of the Landgraviate of Hesse. I imagine the Crown Prince would have an additional title like Duke of Karelia or something.

Arms of Regent: Arms of Finland with an inescutcheon of the Arms of CGE Mannerheim crowned with the Coronet of a Baron. As we was a Marshal, I gave him Marshal's Batons as supporters.
