Opinions about this book?

How do you guys feel about the book 'Isis Magic: 25th Anniversary edition: Cultivating a Relationship with the Goddess of 10,000 names' by M. Isidora Forrest?

I found it on thriftbooks . com for about $40, and I did order it and I was curious if it's reliable or not, and if I should know anything or have any reservations before I begin reading it? Also, did KemeticIndependent on youtube do a review for this book? Sorry to bother you all! And thanks in advance!

Can I get some reassurance?

Sorry to bother you all, and I know tiktok is a terrible place for information, but basically someone (I don't remember their account, sorry! I was doomscrolling, admittedly) said that by reading more about Kemetisism and the book of the dead (was holding EA Budge's translation) they learned that all the Gods of the Egyptian pantheon are all just aspects of one God, basically to me it sounded like spicy monotheism and admittedly I've had some religious trauma from childhood and it kind of stressed me out. Is that true? I had heard that Budge inserted a lot of christian themes into his translation works, though I'm still trying to get through my massive tbr to read those works eventually. Maybe I don't understand the creation myth?

What made you choose Hellensim over any other pagan path?

Just curious what other pagan pantheons drew you in, and how you chose one over the other, or even merged the two for your own unique path and traditions. I'd love to hear your stories!

Got a probably dumb question

When you leave prepackaged food as offerings, like say pastries or other snacks, do you open the container and/or remove the food from the wrapper and then offer it? Or leave it closed in its packaging? If you offer beer, do you open the bottle or the can first?

Trying to figure out if I've been doing this wrong lol

Got any advice?

I was wondering if you guys had any advice for better connecting to the Hellenic Gods as someone who connected with Kemetic Gods first? I know that many people do merge practices and that is my end goal, but aside from Aphrodite, I'm having a little bit of a hard time connecting as well as I did with Egyptian Gods. I'm very interested by them, and have been reading up on the myths and stories and practices, but I'm still struggling a bit. I feel kind of guilty, like I'll accidentally prioritize one over the other. Maybe I'm just being dumb and still thinking like a monotheist, but any advice?

It doesn't help that syncretism is as confusing as it is, too.

Movie recs?

Not to post too much, but do you guys have any good movie recommendations about ancient Egypt that shows the culture, history and/or Gods in a favorable light? I love Cleopatra with Elizabeth Taylor, and I enjoyed 'The Mummy' movie from the 1932, do you have any similar recs to them?

Book recs?

Hey guys! I wanted to know if you had any book recs outside of the community guide post and other really common books or authors like Sacred Sands or Sharon LaBorde's books, mostly books about Osiris or Sekhmet? I'd love to hear them!

Book recommendations?

Hi, sorry to bother you all, I was wondering if you had any book recs about the worship of Aphrodite? I found a few so far, but I'd like to know if there are more? Also, if you've read these, what was your opinion on them?

The ones I've found so far:

{Cult of Aphrodite: Rites and Festivals of the Golden One by Laurelei Black}
{Aphrodite's Priestess by Laurelei Black}
{Greek Mythology of Aphrodite: Love, Beauty and the Hidden Power of Ancient Greece by Lorenzo D'Angelo}

Thanks in advance! <3

Can you rec your favorite warrior or brute mmc books to me?

I really love anything with a warrior, a brute, a rebel or a rogue, I'd like to hear what your favorites are! Mine would be the Ly-San-Ter trilogy by Johanna Lindsey, though it's less historical and more vikings in space lol

What are your hot takes/unpopular opinions about Kemetism?

I saw this asked in the Hellenic group, and it made me want to ask you all here. Do you have any hot takes or uncommon opinions?

Asking for an opinion

So basically, it's silly to ask here I'm sure, but well, I have literally no one else to ask. Anyway, I have an altar of mixed Gods, mostly Egyptian and some Greek, and of those statues I have a medium sized statue for Aphrodite, and a small figure for Hathor, who is often associated as her Egyptian counterpart. Well, fast forward to today where I was thinking about how to thank Aphrodite for her help recently, and I check my bookmarks tab where I keep links to website of things I plan to purchase eventually, and there was a link to a small figurine of Aphrodite that I never added. Never even looked at, had never seen this figure for her before, and somehow, it's chilling in my bookmark folder labeled as future purchases. So my very stupid question here is, do you think she's telling me she wants a third icon, or am I reading too much into it?
