Study question for people who have passed CCNA exam

Hello everyone!

Due to some unique circumstances with my parents I have the opportunity to be between jobs and living with them which alleviates the stress of any responsibilities for the time being aside from caring for some things for them since they’re getting up in age. Because of this I decided to essentially speed run my studying for CCNA while I have this opportunity. Money is tight so for the time being I’m sticking with resources that are free for the most part. I have been studying a max of 8 hours a day which seems to be my limit mentally.

The materials I’m using for study are Wendell Odums official cert guide, as well as all study materials on the companion websites and the packet tracer labs he provides. I’m also watching Jeremy’s IT lab at night or when I need a break from reading. I’m using the JIL Anki flash cards on my phone and doing his labs as well. In addition to this I’m also watching Network Chuck for certain concepts, like Subnetting.

All of that said, I’d like to know if anyone here has successfully passed their exam using ONLY JIL or the official cert guide and resources, and if they think what I’m doing together provides enough information and lab practice to pass the exam successfully.

Thanks in advance and good luck to everyone else that’s studying out there!

I’m sad I slept on this for so long. I just binged all of TNG (I grew up watching it and it was time for a proper rewatch), and I’m watching this and Picard for the first time. I’m loving the feel of Lower Decks so far, especially after just watching TNG. I know this is the point but it captures what I love about Star Trek (way more than Picard has so far even though I’m enjoying that as well). I just finished S1 E9 where they make the movie on the holodeck and the whole episode I was laughing but also smiling at how it feels like such a love letter to the show and the fans. And then the next episode having this great shot capturing that feeling of exploration made me grab my phone to post about it.

AND THE OPENING THEME IS FANTASTIC! I never skip the intro. Perfection.

I have yet to start Strange New Worlds, I hear that’s very good too, but it’s nice to see some modern shows really capture what I feel Trek is all about, even if it is “just” an animated comedy.

Edit: also, Badgey is amazing 🤣
