I’m in the Sarasota area for a few days and I’m looking for some stickers that say “Bradenton” because my sister was a We The Kings fan as a teenager. Would I be able to find something like this in grocery stores in Bradenton or in more touristy places?

I’m coming up on year 16 of being an attorney. I’ve been a judicial law clerk at the state level, represented loan servicers in foreclosures, and represented individuals in general civil litigation and family law.

Ten years ago, I left private practice and began working at a family law self-help center funded by my state’s judiciary. I love it!

My younger sister recently started dating a baby lawyer. He had a state clerkship and is a second year associate at his firm. He recently had his first trial in small claims court and his boss was his second chair. I had dinner with my sister and the baby lawyer the other night and realized that the reason I hated litigation so much is because no one taught me how to do it.

In my five years of private practice, I never second chaired anyone and no one ever second chaired me. I just got thrown in the deep end and was told to swim. I did, but always with an unnecessary level of anxiety because I didn’t feel like I knew what I was doing. At the time, I thought it was imposter syndrome because I finished law school at 24. I now realize what the real problem was.

I’m sharing this just in case there are any other lawyers out there that are feeling similarly, so that maybe you can find a job with more mentorship/support before you make the choice of leaving law altogether.

Can anyone spare a 10” x 10” piece of Philadelphia Phillies fabric? I’m making the Dogs in Sweaters quilt for expectant moms that are Eagles and Phillies fans, but we don’t live in Philly. I strangely already have some Eagles fabric.
