steelo deserves all the praise he’s getting, but I can’t help but think it’s overdue. we coulda started this rebuild a couple years ago if he came to terms and walked away earlier. i see the young blokes comin up now and just picture them being 2 years behind due to some of these old blokes hangin on past their use by.

Argentina are obviously a very good team. That’s why the FIFA conspiracy is unnecessary - you can just look at the actual tournament and ask why the farewell storyline has been given the most forgiving possible runway. Every other team gets a “tough draw”; Argentina get Cape Verde, Egypt and Switzerland, then the VAR discourse starts. Maybe it’s all coincidence. But the amount of “technically correct” explanations required is getting impressive.
