Tidepool Pixel Stretch

Wanted to share some attempts at pixel stretching some tidepool finds. I really like how it pulls the color palette right out, making nudis even more stunning and colorful.

All photos were taken with my Olympus TG7.

Mo'orea FP is literal perfection

I think about my trip to Mo'orea all the time. The island itself is incredibly beautiful, with these mind boggling blues of the water clashing against the vibrant green of the island.

Highlight of the trip was swimming with the humpbacks, which was nothing short of life changing. The snorkeling and sunsets were world class, and most of my time was spent under water.

I was just starting to get interested in photography before this trip, and while I would love the oppurtunity to go back and improve my shots, I'm grateful for having these to look back on. More photography, though wildlife based, on my IG.

Got some good looks at Pigeon Guillemot

Stunning birds with such a vivid crimson color to their feet and interior mouths (sadly not pictured)

Good day Santa Cruz! I wanted to share some of my favorite photos and finds from the last week or two. We have so much beauty in nature all around us, and it's a good reminder how much I love Santa Cruz.

A couple of points to make since we will be seeing a lot of negative tides in the future.

  • Respect the ocean, respect the wildlife. Don't harass. Don't flip rocks. Watch where you step. Try not to touch. Leave your dog at home. Recent events in La Jolla show how impacted areas can get with large crowds.
  • Respect the ocean. Worth repeating. Pack your trash, pick up other trash, discarded fishing line and weights, leave it better than you found it. Don't turn your back on the ocean. Check the weather. Go with a buddy.
  • Go explore! Our coastline has many gems to offer. Tidepooling is a reason to explore, but certainly not the only reason.
  • Protect what you love! Stop offshore drilling. Protect our public lands and waters. They are worth fighting for.

Feel free to follow me on IG if you like what you see.
