[Academic] The Effects of Autistic symptoms on work performance and work motivation on Autistic Adults (Autistic Employed Adults)

Hello everyone!

I am Saakshi, Psychology Master's Final Year student here to present my study on employed autistic individuals. Personally, as autistic woman myself who is also employed, struggled a lot this past year and at some aspects I am still struggling, which led me to be curious on how exactly autism affects work performance and work motivation. Autistic adults are least researched group in autistic research filed, especially the ones from Asia, Africa, Hispanic countries. I would whole heartly appreciate your participation in my study. Not only it would benefit me, but also benefit more Autistic Adult focused researches. Please click on the link below. Make sure to read everything!

Why does adulthood feel like hell?

I'm 21 (22 this year) and I'm already feeling exhausted mentally by adulthood. I don't know, I feel overstimulated and misunderstood by most people my age. Other than that, I feel so alienated most of the time. It just sucks when people make me feel different, intentionally or unintentionally. After I turned 18,everything changed about myself, so did people around me. I sometimes feel like I act too immature and childish, so I try to act "normal" but acting normal doesn't make me feel any better it just makes me feel different again and I'm sick of this feeling. I hate that I'm different than most people, this feeling is not "special" it's just haunting. No matter how much I try to mask or change my symptoms they will always be with me forever and this is the most hardest fact. I even felt left out by some autistic people as well that's why I feel more hurtful. I'm tired
