Dad got the old RC car out to test it, got my whoop out to chase it
Not many interesting places around me to fly, probably the coolest thing I've gotten on video so far.

Budget of ~$350, trying to explore options. Don't like box goggles. Happy to see what you guys are willing to get rid of.
I'm new to FPV & a college student, so saving money when I was getting into this was my priority. I originally bought the vr04s, but the optics were genuinely awful. I returned those and bought the DJI goggles v2 for cheap off of ebay & adapted them to analog. When doing research I knew that they'd have latency-- but both feeling it & having it in the back of my mind when I'm flying is ruining my experience.
I understand that I'm heavily limiting my options by excluding box goggles, but the vr04s left a sour taste in my mouth. I get a feeling that other pairs are going to feel like a phone strapped to my face & want to avoid that entirely.
Willing to trade the v2s if interested. They're essentially brand new & include the goggles, case, analog adapter, cheapo analog module from amazon, 2 dji batteries, strap & antennas. More details available upon request.
So, I've been flying sims for a little over a month at this point, and I've recently picked up my first drone, the Air75 II Champion. I love the drone! but I got the analog VR04s because I'm a little short on cash at the moment (college yippeeee), and they're genuinely ruining the actual flight experience for me.
I find it difficult to actually immerse myself when I'm flying in person-- because of my experience with some competitive games, I'm a bit of a stickler for little things when it comes to what I'm looking at- and the VR04s genuinely look like I'm staring at a tiny phone on the other side of my room. I'm exaggerating a little bit, but when I've been playing sims I get close to my monitor out of habit from games I've played in the past.
I also had a quest 3 at one point, and maybe i set my expectations a bit too high when i had purchased these goggles and thought that these would give me a similar experience.
I'm a bit lost, I know that they're box goggles and that's why they don't look how I was expecting, but what would be a good solution for me? Is there something cheap that would solve my issue? I love FPV so far and don't see myself quitting anytime soon, if I had the cash I'd splurge on something nice, but can't right now. I'm happy with returning the VR04s and waiting for it to process so I can buy something nicer in the future. I'd love to hear suggestions. Thanks!
