Premiere is "killing" my laptop, please help.

I am writing this, very pissed and dissapointed, as I am once again going through the agony of the Premiere "killing" my laptop. I need an advice and I really hope someone has one.

I've bought my MSI Vector a few months ago, specs: intel core ultra9, 64gb ram, rtx 5080 16gb ... And of course everything works amazing on it, except for one thing: Premiere. And hear this: its not that it doesnt load videos or that previews are stuck, the problem happens once I want to "reorder or resize" inner windows in Premiere, for example if i want to see my timeline higher and I drag the upper border to resize it, the thing completely freezes. Then parts of the Premiere become black and then minute by minute it "moves" that border but everything is glitchy and I cant even move my mouse etc.

The worst part is that it doesnt affect only Premiere but my whole computer once it happnes. I cant close Premiere because everything is stuck, and then when I try to open task manager via hotkeys, whole sceeen goes to black with only mouse seen, and it takes at least 10 minutes for it to open task manager and 10minutes more to kill the Prmiere.

Once I "went through this problem" in some project, I literally cant open that project anymore because it will immediatelly start crashing and glitching (as if I did this resizing), and I need to start the new one.

There were a few updates in the past and nothing changed - updates of premiere, of nvidia, of windows... i just dont know anymore. On my work laptop, 3y old Omen with "lower specs" everything works fine.

SO FOR THE LOVE OF GOD, HELP ME PLEASE! What the h*ll am I supposed to do?!

One comment - one great advice: The holy thread of AE tips and tricks!

Hello everyone, I've been using AE for over 8 years. I absoultely love it as well as motion graphics in general, and I oftenly read this subreddit. There are so many talented people and amazing work here, but I noticed many asking for help and similar too.

So it randomly pop in my head - why not create a thread where AE users could share even the smallest thing that could be helpful to those starting or make even pros think "ahh didnt know that!".

It could be from smallest shortcut to some really good advice by combining more things, or even if you have a great comparison how something works with something in life (for example, displacement maps and similar).

Sometimes we think that something we do is a common sense or knowledge, but we can't know that until we read it once again. I find myself in awe reading every now and then some very simple advice, since I am using AE for quite a while now. It is a never ending learning curve.

There! I felt inspired and maybe someone will too. Feel free to throw a tip, trick, advice, or whatever you believe it could "change someones life".
