TISS merit list is out and I'm lowkey spiralling 😭
If you got in, can you please share your score and category (if comfortable)?
I'm UR and hoping I still have a shot in the subsequent lists, so I'm trying to figure out where the first list roughly stands.

Psychologists from top institutes: how were the first few years?
People who completed their MA/MSc Psychology from TISS, DU, Xavier's, Christ, NFSU, AUD, etc. -where are you now?
As someone starting out masters, I'm trying to get a realistic picture of what the first few years in the field look like.
What was your first job after graduating? What was your starting salary vs now? Did you receive supervision? Did you pursue certifications? How long did it take before you felt competent and confident working with clients?
Would especially appreciate hearing from people who are 2–5 years into their careers and are comfortable sharing how their trajectory evolved over time.

statistics was killing my confidence
I’ve been seeing a lot of posts here about ug students struggling with statistics, and especially for entrance prep. I just thought i’ll come out and share my experience. I dropped maths after class 10 and honestly even back then it used to scare me a lot. I had stats in my second year i felt like no matter how hard I tried, i just never got it. I ended up getting a B on that paper.
When i had to prepare for my pg entrances, i only wanted tiss. i had to be at the top of my game for CUET. I started my prep in my 7th sem, and i also had inferential stats that sem. So i knew i would have to get some help for stats for CUET prep and also to make sure this paper doesn’t fck my gpa.
One of my friends shared a contact for a peer tutor with me. This guy is a masters student, and he was so patient with me even though I used to ask such dumb questions 😭. To begin with i was a bit skeptical, but looking back i wish i had help like this in my second sem itself. I got an A+ on that paper, it boosted my confidence like anything. The thing that matters the most- i ended up scoring 250 in my CUET.
I never knew i’d be able to make such a big jump. Im so confident with research and stats now it doesn’t feel like a big thing at all. I just thought my experience could help others get there fear out because all that matters is clarity of concept.

Xavier’s MA Psych Score
People who got into MA lifespan counseling at Xaviers in the the last couple of years, what were y’all’s XET score and gpa? My score is 82 with a 7.5 gpa appx and im not sure if this is a safe score.. what are my chances?
Those who gave XET please drop your scores and maybe even gpa so we know the average

Anybody who is currently pursuing or has completed their masters jn Clinical or Applied Psychology from NFSU? I’m thinking of applying there but not sure. Would love to know your experience and if you would recommend it. Especially in terms of curriculum, faculty, exposure/ internships, placements..
