Re:Zero Season 4 - Episode 10 Discussion Thread
With the recent wave of Ram hate in the fandom, I think a lot of people are judging her actions from a very moralistic angle and failing to realize that Ram was never meant to be a traditionally "good" character.
Ram's loyalty has always been selective. She prioritizes the people she cares about above almost everyone else, and that trait has been present since the beginning of the series. The difference is that recent events force that side of her character into the spotlight, putting her at odds with characters the audience is more emotionally attached to.
Personally, I don't think her decisions are out of character. If anything, they're some of the most consistent decisions she's made. Ram has always been willing to make choices that others would consider selfish, irrational, or even cruel if they align with the people she values most.
I think part of the backlash comes from expectations. Many viewers expected character growth to mean Ram abandoning her flaws, while I see it as her becoming more aware of them without necessarily changing who she is at her core.
You don't have to agree with her decisions to appreciate how well they fit her characterization. A character making frustrating choices isn't automatically bad writing. Sometimes it means the character is written consistently enough to create genuine conflict within the audience.
It's my view but I think the criticism aimed at Ram's actual characterization are people mostly upset because her priorities conflict with the goals of other fan favorite characters
This series is really one of a kind, and oh my god it immediately became my fav. I want to read something like this series. Mature relationship, no love triangles, frequent cuddle, ups and downs in relationship (some fights).
About the Sweat and Soap:-
Asako has spent her entire life suffering from intense anxiety regarding her body odor, constantly changing shirts and relying heavily on her company's soaps to stay fresh. Her absolute worst nightmare comes true when Kotaro, the company's lead product developer, tracks a captivating, unusual scent straight to her desk.Instead of being repulsed, Kotaro is fascinated and inspired by her natural aroma.
He proposes a peculiar deal: he wants to study her scent for a week to brainstorm new product ideas.Despite her initial mortification, Asako agrees. As they work together, the two form an unexpected bond. The story quickly shifts from a quirky, somewhat bizarre setup into a mature, deeply loving, and highly functional adult relationship. Instead of relying on typical romance tropes like love triangles or petty misunderstandings, the series focuses on:-
>Open communication and mutual respect.
>How Asako gains self-confidence through Kotaro's genuine appreciation for the things she hates about herself.
>The hilarious and steamy ups and downs of an office romance at a personal care company.
I just finished berserk season 1 and man have i ever hated someone so much in my life, Griffith needs to die. That last scene was so disturbing for real. The anime ended there on the climactic moment, I know there are some more season of berserk, likely they will show some revenge or sort of thing, but i really feel sad for Casca.

We've officially crossed 1,000 members in r/ReZeroRam
Thank you to everyone who joined, posted, commented, lurked, and helped grow this community. What started as a small gathering of Ram fans has become one of the strongest Ram-focused communities on Reddit.
The Ram agenda will not stop here. Whether it's fanart, discussions, memes, analyses, or spreading appreciation for the true maid of Roswaal Manor, we'll continue pushing forward.
This subreddit will remain a place for Ram fans to share content, connect with fellow enthusiasts, and keep the Ram agenda alive.
Here's to the next 1,000. Glory to Ram. 🩷
We've added a lot of custom flairs over time, but we're always looking for more.
If you have a flair idea, drop it below. If it's funny, creative, lore-related, cursed (within reason), or just fits the spirit of the community, we'll consider adding it.
If there are existing flairs you'd like removed, comment the flair number (based on the current flair list).
If a removal comment reaches a significant number of upvotes, we'll consider removing that flair.
We've considered editable flairs, but they're difficult to moderate at scale and frequently lead to rule-breaking content, spoilers, NSFW jokes, impersonation, and other moderation issues. Fixed flairs are much easier to manage while keeping the flair system fun and consistent for everyone.
Now go ahead and suggest your best (or worst) ideas.
Ram is one of the most emotionally intelligent characters in ReZero, but most people reduce her to just “the savage maid who insults Subaru.”
Her loyalty, grief, emotional restraint, and self-awareness are far more complex than many fan-favorite characters in the series.
