is it possible to not have to pay for dining hall food as an incoming freshman?

after coming to the NSR, i can confirm that the dining hall food not only tastes bad but is quite unhealthy. i know where i'll be able to source other better food options, and so will probably not even bother with the stuff at the dining hall. i'm wondering if there's anything i can do to not have to pay the $5k, whether or not it's ethical.

moral dilemma

i've been around 95% primal for the past two months and have experienced benefits such as clear skin and better mental clarity. i'm going to college this fall, and this will make the diet easier for me, but my family is forced to pay $5,000 for the dining hall food. i would probably pause the diet if the food quality was any good, but everything is cooked in soybean/canola oil, and all the produce is most likely sprayed. i don't want to waste 5k, but i also don't want to eat 50g of cooked seed oils everyday. im looking for any sort of guidance, so all comments are appreciated

how bad really is seedless fruit?

im pretty active and in the sun a lot, so i have quite a bit of fruit every day. this mostly consists of watermelon and watermelon juice, around 200 to 300 grams a day. the only watermelon im able to find that isn't way overpriced is the generic seedless kind. i'm wondering if i should pay a premium for seeded watermelon because i've seen lots of videos talking about the negatives of seedless fruit. is this worth it, or am i just being fearmongered?

too many carbs?

almost every single day, i drink around a liter of both milk and celery/parsley juice. alongside that, i usually include things like unripe pineapple, honey, and low carb fruits in my diet. everything combined usually puts me at at ~100g of carbs, but i hear several times that the primal diet is supposed to be a low carb diet. im currently trying to gain weight, and considering almost all my carbs are coming from milk and the juice, is there really anything wrong with what im doing? im new to the diet, so any constructive criticism is appreciated
