What to do?
What to do already submitted documents through mail.

Closed my HDFC UPI card ending only because they didn’t process my upgrade request repeatedly. Now when I requested for Regalia Gold, HDFC rejected saying they don’t offer dual/second cards as per internal norms.
But my closure request was raised only on 3 days ago and is still under process. I’m not asking for 2 cards simultaneously. They could simply reactivate/reissue and process the upgrade instead of outright rejection.
Wantedly/mechanically rejecting without properly reviewing the case is disappointing for an existing customer. Has anyone faced similar issue with HDFC upgrades?
What to do next. How to escalate or complain to ombudsman.
Applied for an American Express credit card and completed Video KYC along with submitting all income documents through email. It has now been 21 days, but there is still no update regarding approval or rejection.
What is more frustrating is that customer care is also not providing any clear response except repeatedly saying “please wait.” No timeline, no escalation.
Has anyone else faced such excessive delays with the application process? What is the best way to escalate this further?

Hi all,
I feel like I’ve been mis-sold and wanted to check if others have faced something similar.
I have an HDFC Savings Max account with a ₹5 lakh FD and earn around ₹50k/month. I was interested in getting the Regalia Gold credit card.
My Branch Manager clearly told me he could get it approved (non-FD based) if I took a ₹1 crore term insurance plan. Trusting his assurance, I went ahead and purchased the policy.
Now, after the policy is issued, the credit card team is saying I’m not eligible unless I already have a ₹3 lakh limit on an existing card.
When I confronted the BM, he just keeps telling me to “wait, the offer will be updated,” with no timeline or written confirmation. Feels like he just pushed the insurance to meet targets.
I’m still within the free-look period.
Should I cancel the policy immediately?
Is this considered mis-selling?
Has anyone successfully escalated something like this with HDFC or RBI Ombudsman?
any advice before I take the next step.
