ASUS Rgb control from windows dynamic lightning
I saw a lot of people trying to find alternatives to control ASUS RGB, but couldn’t really find a solution. My PC mostly consists of NZXT parts (when it comes to RGB lighting). However, my motherboard is an ASUS ROG Strix B850-E Gaming WiFi, so I was searching for a solution to control it besides Armoury Crate. I tried SignalRGB, but I didn't like it; sometimes my devices randomly disappeared and the lights just turned off. This also happened to the pump screen, and after that, the app couldn't recognize it anymore.
So, I just accepted my fate, reinstalled Armoury Crate, and ran it just for the motherboard lights. It always frustrated me that Armoury Crate was on my PC, especially after the research I did (YT videos, Reddit posts, etc.). All in all, no one recommends it because it has so much background usage.
I finally decided to uninstall it and just turn the motherboard lighting off in the BIOS. Before disabling it—I don't know why—I checked Windows Dynamic Lighting, but there were no devices listed to control. So, I went straight to the BIOS but before turning aura off, I found an option under Advanced Options > Onboard Devices: "Enable Windows Dynamic Lighting to control RGB". After enabling it, Windows detected my motherboard, and I can now set a static color. Way less costumization option, but for someone that only wants a static color it will work perfectly fine. No Armoury Crate, no SignalRGB!
P.S.: During boot/shut down the lights switch to rainbow, but once your system boots up, they almost immediately switch to the set color.
