Veneration(not adoration) of saints and their relics in the Roman Catholic Church. How do you see it?
Many non-catholic factions see this practice(veneration of saints and their relics) objectionable as per texts and christian doctrine.
More like the concept of shirk that muslims have.
And how would common people find difference between adoration and veneration?
And when the church makes fun of other religions on the basis of idolatry, isnt it profiteering from 'the sin'?
Weren't most kings in kerala basically Nair upgraded to Kshatriya through ritual processes(except two)?
I have also heard of a vassal christian kingdom in kerala, minor muslim kingdom and Jewish principality (and a jewish civil war later)too
What is the history of SC/ST entering temples ? Whom did they worship before that? Was it a mistake that they followed any religion that holds casteism?

Akhil Maarar-Janakeeya Kodathi episodes reminded me of the Cadaver Synod.
The Cadaver Synod (or Synodus Horrenda) was a macabre ecclesiastical trial held in January 897 AD. Pope Stephen VI had his deceased predecessor, Pope Formosus, exhumed, dressed in papal vestments, and propped on a throne in Rome to face formal charges of political corruption, perjury, and breaking canon law.
Formosus's nine-month-old rotting corpse was hauled into the Basilica of St. John Lateran.
A terrified deacon was forced to stand next to the corpse and answer the tribunal's questions on its behalf.
Predictably, the lifeless defendant was found guilty on all counts.
Formosus's papal robes were torn off, and the three fingers of his right hand used for sacred blessings were amputated.
The body was initially buried in a graveyard for foreigners, then dug up and thrown into the Tiber River.
Sati: Why India widow-burning case is back in news after 37 years
Now Roop Kanwar’s story has returned to headlines in India after a court acquitted eight men accused of glorifying her death, in the last of the remaining cases in the grisly saga.
A teenaged widow was burned on her husband's funeral pyre under the Hindu practice of sati 37 years ago.
🫠The Sati Dharma Raksha Samiti was an organization formed in Rajasthan, India, following the 1987 death of 18-year-old Roop Kanwar, who was burned alive on her husband's funeral pyre. The group was established to defend, celebrate, and valorize the practice of sati and protect those accused of glorifying the ritual.
After the Indian government enacted the strict Commission of Sati (Prevention) Act, 1987, which criminalized both the act and its glorification, the committee dropped the word "sati" from its public name to navigate the new legal penalties.
🫣The new name adopted by the organization is the 🐴Dharma Raksha Samiti.🔥
The horror literally kept happening after that. In 1999, a woman named Charan Shah was immolated in UP. In 2002, another woman named Kuttu Bai was burned alive in MP while a massive crowd of thousands literally blocked the police from saving her. It even happened as recently as 2006 with a woman named Janakrani.
Many indian kings banned the sati practice, even invader dynasties, but with limited success.
If people drink cow urine out or eat dung out of religiosity, this is not abnormal.

From a rationalist perspective, What is your opinion about Virtue Signalling and Vice signalling?

Mallu Analyst- Virtue Signalling.
Political correctness maathram parayum. Doesn't care about nuances.
Meninists- Vice Signalling.
Intentionally rejects mainstream political correctness. Enthu kaaryatthinum kaaranam kandethum.
Both have their own echo chambers. They gain massive followings by turning moral and political views into entertainment, outrage, and group identity. They are always into chronic victim mentality.
Their supporters often defend them to end. Both sides convert deep, complex societal issues into digestible, high-engagement video formats.

Politics of Lathi Charge.
A lathi hits you at two places: your body and your dignity.
The reason policemen and state sponsored goons are so confident in raising their hands is because life is cheap in India. Viksit Bharat is more than just malls, foreign companies and six lane highways. It's also about the establishment holding the dignity, the rights, the life of Indians sacred.

Collegium is often cited as the most undemocratic setup in our democracy due to a lack of transparency, self-appointment by judges, and the absence of public accountability.
'Njanum appanum, appantae sahodhari subhadhrayum' style recruitment and promotions.
How did it start?
Under original Articles 124 and 217, the President of India appointed judges after "consultation" with the Chief Justice of India (CJI) and other high judicial authorities.
The collegium system is a collegium where incumbent judges of the Supreme Court of India appoint judges to the Judiciary of India. It originated from three Supreme Court judgments (rendered in 1981, 1993, and 1998), collectively known as the Three Judges Cases.
S.P. Gupta v. Union of India (1981), universally known as the First Judges Case.
It was a highly controversial battle over political control of the courts, triggered by the government’s attempt to influence the judiciary after the Emergency.
The Supreme Court decided that the central government had the final say in appointing and transferring high court and supreme court judges.
But it gave birth to PILs.
The Second Judges Case (1993) and the rise of Public Interest Litigation (PIL) fundamentally reshaped the Indian judiciary by stripping the executive of appointment powers and expanding access to justice.
Birth of the Collegium System: The court created a specific mechanism for appointments, ruling that the Chief Justice of India (CJI) must form a collective opinion alongside two senior-most judges of the Supreme Court.
The Third Judges Case (1998): The system was fine-tuned five years later through a Presidential Reference. The apex court expanded the collegium to include the CJI and four senior-most judges, establishing the five-member panel used today.
- Over the course of the three cases, the court evolved the principle of judicial independence to mean that no other branch of the state, including the legislature and the executive, would have any say in the appointment of judges. The court then created the collegium system, which has been in use since the judgment in the second Judges Case was issued in 1993.
Why are many southern keralites still interested in kings and princes, but not anywhere else?
Is it a cultural thing or a caste based support?

I have been watching him for a couple of days. He seems very interesting and some of his talking points converge with what I think and have read about indian mythology, our ideologies...
I have seen some north indians dissing him way too much.
