Just wanted to share this brilliant series. "Singing the Song of Arenas" by SafelyCapricious. The works are all pretty short, with the longest few around 3k words, but very tightly written and create a very unique world in a short time.

I recently went on vacation and downloaded a couple of really long fics to read on my Kindle. Enjoyed it so much that I figured I should probably just download all my bookmarked fics (which are those I read, really enjoyed, and might read again).

So after delving in on the best way to do this... I downloaded Calibre, the FanFicFare extension and a script tool called "ao3 downloader." The downloader lets you scrape the URLs from your bookmarks or marked for later pages, which can then be entered into the FanFicFare extension in Calibre in bulk, and then all the fics will get downloaded with info like the author, tags, series number (if part of a series), etc.

I'm freaking googling how to use my command terminal, troubleshooting and entering light code to make this work. I have about 170 fics bookmarked and downloaded. And now, I turn to my marked for later... 270 fics downloading now.

I am never digging myself out of this hole!
