Dolan is my favorite UFO analyst. Really well educated about history and politics. On top of it for 30 years.
Hope you're doing good. I'm sober since 1/2024. Still struggling here and there. Just picked up a nicotine vape habit. Feeling like a dork but not hacking up anything awful.

I'm not accusing anybody of racism. I'm saying watch out for racism and check your sources. And cite them if you post, even if they're loony toons.

What brought you into this world of high strangeness?
This 5-minute clip was the root of my worldview for a long time. I read those Jim Keith books on Alternative 3 and some others in the '90s, and the standard model conspiracy theory has been generally unchanged for quite a while. Parts have broken down, like the global climate change bit, but the scientist thing... Anyway, I've become a lot more skeptical but very little has changed in the conspiracy messaging. I get older and older but this bullshit keeps on staying the same. Alright, alright, alright.

My first instinct, as I predicted, was to stay home and get drunk and scroll Reddit and YouTube. I'm not going to do that but I might go get some cigarettes later. That's my cheat candy.
I know this isn't really disclosure. Like NDT, I'm looking for materials and bodies or, you know, free energy and flying cars. But I'll take it. Like Luna, said it's a good start.
Anyway, I'm going to keep busy, bug my friends about it, and keep walking past the beer aisle. I got a lot of flack in comments saying it's stupid to talk about using this as an excuse to drink, but whatever, I love you anyway. I'm here to to talk about UFOs and sobriety and see if anyone else has feelings about it.
Hey everyone! I'm u/terrelli, a founding moderator of r/SoberDisclosure.
Someone in r/UFOB asked that. Most people said they would go to work and get on with things. There was other stuff, but what stuck out to me was when someone said they would probably start drinking alcohol again, and I thought, me too.
But then I thought about what they keep going over in my DBT program: make a plan in case you have a lapse. (They called a "relapse" a return to previous use behavior, but a "lapse" is supposed to a step back but then getting back to the program.). My plan for a lapse is pretty simple: recognize that it happened, don't give myself too much grief about it, and get back to the program. Ask for help if I need it.
Now that there's a lot of jabber about UFO disclosure, I feel a lot of excitement. I'm also a little afraid I will use whatever happens as an excuse to go back to the same patterns of substance abuse.
Would I drink because it is a time for celebration? Like, "Yay! They're here! I was right!" Or would I drink because it is a time of fear? Like: "Everything I thought was wrong and everything is different now!" Or would I drink because this is a point of confusion and insecurity? Like, "Things are changing too fast and I can't keep up," or more likely, "This is the biggest thing that ever happened, but the right things aren't happening."
Anyway, I thought that I would make a place to talk about it and see if anyone else felt the same, so I made this subreddit.
Hope you're doing okay. Take care of yourself, and, if you can, take care of somebody else.
