Seriously guys hear me out. Now that the game is finally out, it’s undeniable.

I just finished Pragmata, and the core plot is literally just Sonic Adventure 2 with photorealistic graphics. It's actually insane:

• The Identity Theft / Doppelgänger: Just like Sonic got framed because G.U.N. couldn't tell the difference between a blue hedgehog and a black alien-hedgehog, Pragmata features a rival character, Eight, who looks almost exactly like our main protagonist, Diana.
• The "Shadow" Motivation: Eight isn't just evil for the sake of it, she wants to literally destroy Earth because she lost someone incredibly close to her in the past. It is word-for-word Shadow the Hedgehog’s exact motivation regarding Maria Robotnik and the Eclipse Cannon in SA2.
• The Space Setting: Both games revolve around a high-tech, isolated space environment looking down on Earth, dealing with the threat of total planetary annihilation driven by grief and vengeance.
• The Dying Wish Misunderstanding: Eight's whole "destroy Earth" plan stems from a corrupted memory or misunderstanding of what Higgins actually wanted (just like Shadow misremembering Maria's wish).

Capcom really thought they could just drop a next-gen Sonic Adventure 2 script on us and I'm all in on that!
