BMW R1250RS + Chigee AIO-6 LTE- Power wiring loom not sturdy enough

The Aio6 works quite well with the RS in its Nav cradle. However, I had quite the scare today when trying to install Ezcan + LR MTL9's (successfully; and they are quite brilliant together).

The chigee power cable must have, what i can only assume, got chafed around the gap between the ECU and the battery box (even though i had take ample care to make sure proper installation and 'no stress' routing for both the + and - leads. But they are quite thin wires and without a ruggerized sleeve). It shorted on the chasiss and nearly caught on fire. You can also see the fatigue.on rest of the power harness where its not melted. Can only imagine what would have happened if on a ride.

Buyers beware!

Make sure you get a rugged sleeve. In fact get enough to cover the camera leads and the middle connecting Y cables as well.

The power harness is out of stock (as of 21-06 PST). So cannot even buy it. Quite frustrating.

If any Chigee personnel are here. Please make the wiring harness a bit tougher. What we need is to take LR wiring harness as an template. Kudos to EzCan as well with its rugged outer sleeves to help fight fatigue. They both seem to be properly made to the correct specs for a motorcycle open environment.

Adding some pics.

Applogies for the confusion. Edited some 'auto' edits. I should have taken more photos of the bundled extra chigee rear camera wire I had placed neatly, without any stress and with velcro ties under the pillion seat (unfortunately, was too busy to disconnect the battery in time not to catch fire). It looked like it had 'melted' or the rubberized top layer was already withering away in most of the folds. Thankfully, it held on enough to not short.

How to receive USD transfer in a RBC USD Account?

If this has been asked before, my apologies.

I am getting conflicting information from RBC on what SWIFT Code to use. Scenario is as below:

I provided a service to a U.S. based client and they want to pay me in USD. I opened a RBC USD checking account here in Canada to receive the payment.

For context, Client is using www.meliopayments.com and asked me to include my bank details.

Which SWIFT code should the U.S. client use to transfer money from this link? ( https://www.rbcroyalbank.com/banking-services/wire-transfer.html )

Option 1:

  • Your transit (5 digits, including all zeros) and account number (7 digits). For example: 01234-1234567
  • Your personal home address
  • RBC Royal Bank institution number: 003
  • RBC Royal Bank SWIFT BIC (if funds coming from domestic or international location): ROYCCAT2
  • Your RBC Royal Bank branch phone number, address and transit number

Option 2:

Use SWIFT Code: CHASUS33. Rest remaining the same

Would appreciate any insight.

R 1250 RS (2020) Engine oil, oil filter, air filter, rear drive oil, and brake fluid recommendations

Just want to gauge what people who do their own maintenance use or recommend. My local BMW dealer wants CAD$525 for these jobs + the parts for a total of CAD$818.

This seems totally outrageous me and would like to see how much time one would need if doing all these jobs for the first time. I am pretty mechanically adept.
