Hosts disappearing and read-only access to the dashboard

Hi all,

I'm fairly new to this. We've been deploying crowdstrike on all the hosts in the company because the main branch asked us to. We had CID, token, had to jump through some loops for some devices but we managed to get it done. However, we've started to face an issue. As we're facing the end of our current AV license to be replaced by crowdstrike, we want to rest assured that cs is on all the hosts. We only have read-only access to the dashboards and some hosts that have been inactive for more than 30 days just disappear from the dashboard.

Is there a way to confirm, at this point, that a host, not appearing on the main dashboard, has got the sensor?

It's very hard to keep track since some laptops that may already be equipped with the sensor, may have been rotting in a locked drawer for a while.

Thank you so much in advance :)

Edit: For those who might come by looking for answers, I found a solution : I took the previous reports from Excel that we had since the beginning of the deployment, put them in a folder. Then I wrote a powershell script to navigate the name column and stop when it matches the device’s name you were looking for. Now we know which host disappeared but has crowdstrike on it (it was just turned off for too long stuck in a drawer or something), and which host never got crowdstrike in the first place. You have to get creative when you don’t have intune lol. If it helps even one person navigate the same situation, this post is a success.

MailUser external email address and sending email to an internal distribution group

Hi all,

I'm having an issue that I can't really wrap my head around.

I've got this user, he is a mailuser with an smtp address from our internal tenant but this smtp address points to an external mailbox from another tenant. He has his AD account in our environment and his account is a member of a distribution group (let's call it GRP). We handle all our distribution groups on-premise through AD and we have the Exhange Management Tools on another IT admin server and exchange online to replace the functionalities of an exchange server. This user tried to send emails to the distribution group email address so the members could receive it and it failed.

I went to see the trace details of this message and it failed with this code:

05/08/2026 14:59:04 Fail Reason: [{LED=550 5.7.133 RESOLVER.RST.SenderNotAuthenticatedForGroup; authentication required; Delivery restriction check failed because the sender was not auth..

I figured that this probably comes from the fact that he tried sending this email from his external email address and the RequireSenderAuthenticationEnabled attribute for GRP is set to "True".

I don't want to disable it for security reasons but I would like to put an exception, or see if I can review his account to see if there is anything I can do to turn him into an authenticated user. I thought that MailUsers had every permissions to be able to send emails to internal distribution groups, since they are internal users, he just doesn't have a mailbox in our tenant.

Any thought on that?

Thanks a lot in advance :)

Hi everyone,

I’m having a really frustrating issue with my Epson EcoTank ET-3850 on Windows 11.

I’m trying to use the printer through Wi-Fi Direct from my laptop. The laptop successfully connects to the printer’s Wi-Fi Direct network, Windows detects the printer, and it appears in “Printers & scanners.” At first Windows was showing “Driver unavailable,” but I managed to get past that and install the Epson software/drivers.

The problem is that even though the printer appears connected, absolutely nothing prints. Even a simple Windows test page won’t print. Every print job just gets stuck in the queue forever (“sending to printer,” pending, or error), and the jobs keep accumulating. The printer itself doesn’t react at all.

I already tried restarting both the laptop and printer multiple times, removing and re-adding the printer, reinstalling Epson drivers, restarting the Print Spooler service, clearing the spool folder, reconnecting Wi-Fi Direct, and cancelling all stuck print jobs.

Another thing is that earlier the printer had a 169.254.x.x IP address because it doesn't even detect the office Wifi, I guess this printer doesn't support enterprise authentication?

What confuses me is that Windows can detect the printer, so some communication is happening, but actual printing never starts.

At this point I genuinely don’t know if this is:

  • a bad Epson driver(not likely),
  • Windows using the wrong driver,
  • a spooler problem,
  • or Wi-Fi Direct simply not working properly.

I tried using Wifi Direct with my smartphone and print a document from it, it worked. But as soon as my laptop is involved, nothing happens.

Has anyone experienced this with the ET-3850 or another Epson EcoTank printer on Windows 11?
