Can’t get controllers working on 2D non-Steam games

Hi all - I’m not able to get the stream frame controllers or a paired Xbox controller (paired to the frame) working for non-Steam games (specifically Xbox Game Pass). When I switch out of laser pointer to game pad mode, the game is not recognizing any inputs from the frame controllers or Xbox controller. Tried getting gears of war e-day added to steam as a non-steam game but that has its own issues. The steps I’m following are simply clicking Steam VR without a game, launching the Xbox app on the desktop, launching the game. Anyone been able to get this working or have any advice?

My experience with Eufy so far and some thoughts/questions

Hi All,

I have only owned my Eufy devices for about 2 weeks but I wanted to share my experience with them and also had a few thoughts and questions.

I purchased 5 E340 floodlights, a video doorbell, and 4 battery cams with a HomeBase 3.

Upon initial setup and install I had everything integrated with HB3. Connectivity and reliability was terrible. I have a good WiFi mesh setup and had multi-bridge enabled on all devices but they were constantly connecting to the HB3 directly and not to my WiFi. 50% of the time I tried accessing a live feed I would get a timeout. Was considering sending everything back.

I wanted to test if the HB3 was the issue so I switched all devices to microSD/local storage. Since then everything is working great - except for my doorbell which is constantly going offline. I’m returning it and getting a new one. Aside from that I’ve been constantly checking live feeds of all cams throughout the day and they come up within 1-3 seconds consistently. I had maybe 1 or 2 timeouts over 24 hours. So I am confident now the HB3 was the issue, and I’m considering doing the WiFi antenna mod to ensure the cameras stay connected to my WiFi.

My remaining concern with the HB3 setup is intermittent WiFi connectivity issues. I assume if the wifi connection is temporarily down or unstable - if an event occurs at that time it will not record at all to the HB3 vs. with microsd, it will still record with no WiFi connection at all. Is that correct?

Ideally there would be a hybrid option to store clips to the microsd first, and then save to the HB3 - similar to how the cloud works. It doesn’t seem like that is a supported solution? I also can’t find anything about saving to microSD but also sending to NAS. It’s either save to microSD only, NAS only, HomeBase only, microSD+Cloud or Homebase+Cloud.

The microSD+cloud seems like the most full proof approach but like most people I want to avoid the monthly cost. I’m considering looking into a custom solution but I’m sure I will run into roadblocks.

Are there any options to use microSD but also have the recordings backed up to a local storage?
