What happens if you Google "Bricks & Minifigs"?

I wanted to Google BAM for the first time since the scandal, primarily to see if WSFOP would have popped up at all. (It doesnt) but not that it matters at all. Googling the name immediately brings up their controversy. And ironically the official lego website as a suggested alternative.

Watching xgames this weekend

I've been watching the xgames this weekend & while I don't really subscribe to skootering (I prefer the skateboarding street/vert & park formats I couldn't resist taking note of this guy. His name is Willy. And for the reference at the beginning of the clip. There is apparently a trick in scooters named the "Oliver Twist" that a ton of people have been doing.

Olivers celebration of life is tomorrow, who is tuning in? RIP Oliver, peace and love.

Brandon Buckingham posted another Documentary about Reckless Ben

For those who were wondering, this looks like a different video of that which was posted a few weeks ago & the video that was posted exclusively on his patreon. There is some overlap with the patreon edit, but there is also some new stuff in here.

H3 Podcast today will be talking about Reckless Ben

I wouldn't count on Ben being a guest, but it is always a possibility. This would be the second show about Reckless Ben. And seems like he will mostly be reacting to Bens video that was uploaded last night & possibly part 3.

Any updates with the Russ Mckamey lawsuit?

Last i heard he was having trouble serving ben. Similar to how BAM did. Lawsuit basically just appears to be in limbo. Anyways, any information is welcome. Thanks in advance (:

Also, I would love to see the full release form that mckamey had people sign, I have a copy if that. But I wanna see the one that Ben modified and signed instead. His lawsuit alleges Ben owes him $50,000 for breach of contract. But Ben acknowledges that he broke contract and even offered to pay russ the $1 that he owed him. The contract Ben supposedly signed did not say aborting about 50k. It looks like it was only $1.

Andrew Callahan is being sued

A lot of people draw him in parallel with Ben, while Ben classifies him as an "actual reporter" it's obvious that he is in a very similar case to Ben right now. Being sued by someone who has millions in order to silence a journalist because the way that the legal system works. In fact years ago Andrew interviewed Ben. At the time Ben had more followers than Andrew. Andrew has skyrocketed into national fame. But that does not excuse the monstrosity of injustices here.

The Banksy Video is worth the $8 subscription alone

This is a part of a series that was pitched to HBO & was too gnarly, so HBO declined. Its a part of like a 5 part series that may or may not ever see the light of day. Because the second movie some crazy shit happens and a bunch of Ben's friends get arrested. If ben posts movie #2 his friends could face up to 20 years in prison. One of them (which i will not name) even fled the country. This is a must watch for every benhead.

Just a rant

The most damning footage we see is Ammon himself lying to police. Saying that Ben is threatening to kill people. This is a serious problem. That not only needs to be investigated. But needs to be brought to light to the general public who still shop at BAM locations. I am seriously in disbelief. Even though I knew about this claim for over a month, its a completely different story when you see the actual footage. Ammon absolutely can not get away with it. And if the police will not do anything about it, I think his franchisee's will.

There are two scenarios.

  1. Ammon resigns as CEO to save what little is left of his company

  2. Ammon remains CEO and the company goes bankrupt.

I'm honestly rooting for #2. Because that opens the opportunity for more local businesses to take their spot. Leaves a gap in the lego community where either official lego retailers can move in, or local mom & pops can fill the gap.

Sorry for the innocent franchisee's that had no part in the dispute. But it is what it is. And if y'all are too afraid to file a class action, the public will likely have to get involved.

I know most people here likely never stepped foot in a BAM store. But for those who have, I really do not think it is ethical to support a business that extorts its own franchisees & uses their local law enforcment to lie and attempt to put someone in prison because they are afraid that their incompetence will be exposed. Ammon had every chance to do the right thing, for two years!. I hope he is losing sleep over this. What's so silly is that he could have recovered, until he chose to lie and file a false report to the police.

I expect that any day now, we may get a resignation from Ammon. This fall, this failure will be documented and studied. It will be used as an example of what not to do to save your company image.

If Bricks & Minifigs attempts to re-open the Keizer, Oregon location

I will help in organizing a protest. You heard that right. That store is now defunct. And if Ammon is still the CEO of Bricks & Minifigs when/if that store ever re-opens I will assure that the public knows exactly why it was closed in the first place & what the CEO is being accused of.

I've mentioned it before, but I am a local resident of Salem. This very Bricks & Minifigs store is where i obtained 90% of my lego collection. I want to see Ammon resign. This is not the only time I have participated in a protest on River Road North. Back in 2011 or 2012 I dressed up as a gorilla and raised funds for women affected by domestic abuse in collaboration with ROCC. It really is not difficult to do some outreach. Right now, there really is nothing to protest in Salem as the store is closed. And organizing a protest at Eugene doesn't make sense to me even if Josh & Brandon are still owners.

This is not extortion. This is a good faith expression of my 1st amendment right to educate the public about a company who has been accused of fraud & what I perceive & many others perceive to be an incompetent CEO that is destroying his brands image.

About Part 3

I just want to remind everyone to respect the creators paywalls. Yes, part 3 could possibly be posted later today or the next couple days on Patreon. There are some bad actors out there that have shared links to the unlisted part 2 & others re-uploading part 2 on youtube. Do not be that person. For those who want to watch it, but do not have a subscription to Bens Patreon it will be made public a day or two after it is posted on Patreon.

Mods, could we also maybe get a discussion megathread for Part 3 when it drops so that others who have not seen the video yet may avoid spoilers?

It appears that Bryan Mansell is bringing on an additional attorney to defend him

Edward T. Decker is an attorney from Portland, Oregon.

Chief Magistrate Judge Cecilia M. Romero filed a "MOTION FOR PRO HAC VICE ADMISSION" to add Edward T. Decker as a defendant for Bryan Mansell.

Nothing super special, but previously Bryan was only represented by Mark O. Morris of SNELL & WILMER L.L.P.

To my knowledge this filing had to happen because Edward is not licensed to practice law in Utah, this gives him the ability to work on Bryans defense in Utah.

The filings can be found at courtlistener

Files are named:

- gov.uscourts.utd.165286.7.0.pdf

- gov.uscourts.utd.165286.7.1.pdf

- gov.uscourts.utd.165286.7.2.pdf

u/awkwardbegetsawkward has been keeping all the filings nice & cleanly organized in this post here

I've been watching LUS covering the Reckless Ben saga

I never knew the guy before then. But apparently he has also been covering Ethans lawsuits as well. And I've also noticed an overwhelming support for Ethan by his viewers. As always, it's a pretty mixed bag in his community. Apologize if this was already posted or not allowed. Just thought it was interesting.

Ammon Mcneff suffers from Psychelogical Projection

MEDICAL REPORT

PATIENT: Ammon Mcneff

DIAGNOSIS: Advanced Failure Psychological Projection Disorder (AFPPD)

STATUS: Developmentally Stalled (Missing Instruction Manual)

CLINICAL OBSERVATIONS

The patient appears to be suffering from a severe case of "Snap-Together Logic"

Thoughts are connected with zero structural integrity.

SYMPOMS

  1. The patient experiences a personal failure. He genuinely believes the flaw is not his, but an external accessory he just discovered on someone else.

  2. The patient is so busy pointing out the "broken bricks" in a build that he completely fails to notice he is holding his own broken bricks in his hand while he’s talking.

  3. The patient appears to use the police department as a watchdog & claims others are making terroristic threats while he is the one making terroristic threats.

Ben has a pet pig

His name is Bacon.

Go watch Brandon Buckinghams video here and watch to the end for the top secret passcode for 50% off his patreon for a 2 hour documentary about Bens life.

That is all.

Any information on why LAPD is going after Ben for the videos he uploaded?

My only thought it is possibly due to the Banksy video posted on his patreon. In an update video Ben mentioned his friends are being threatened with 40 years in prison if he uploads part 2. It is possible that the police only recently were aware that Ben had a patreon where the video is hosted. Ben also casually mentions something about getting almost 140 years in prison.

Alternatively, I guess it could be related to keeping the videos up on youtube? But the first banksy video took place in California. Which is why it leads me to believe that's what its about.
